Peyton Hillis Chosen for Madden Cover.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Week 1 of NFL recap:
In other news, Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hills suffered a severe femur fraction while trying to chase down the ice cream truck that frequents his street. Family memebers and friends at the scene told POS News that Hills injured himself after the ice cream truck stopped at the Stop sign at the end of his street.
-.-
Vick deserves to be on that cover...
People need to move on, he made a mistake, he paid GREATLY for it in money, jail time, sponsors, reputation etc etc. We've all made mistakes...maybe not that that extent but still, we need to learn sometimes.
He played better than 95% of the QB's last year and cant wait to see him play in the next season (if there is one).
All this coming from a Giants fan.
[QUOTE="mrmusicman247"]Still think Aaron Rodgers should have gotten it. bleehumWhile doing his championship belt hand signal thingy mabob...whatever you'd like to call it. Exactly. That's the celebration I use when I play flag football :P

Any RB can run the ball down the throats of the Panthers. Peyton Hillis doesn't deserve to on the cover and neither does Vick, it should have been somebody like Aaron Rodgers.

95%? Micheal Vick is one of the most overated QBs out there. There are so many better ones out there: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Ben Rothlisberger, Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers. I don't see why ESPN loves this guy so much other than he gets a few big plays, but there are also moments when this guy bombs. He also can hardly go a whole season without getting the crap beaten out of him by tacklers.

Peyton Hillis is a beast, your argument is invalid. The guy wasn't even projected to make the Brown's roster. 1177 yards on 270 carries which ranks him 11th in the league. 4.4 yards per rush attempt ties him at 14th, tied for 6th with 11 touchdowns, and averaged 73.6 yards a game. I'd say that's pretty good for someone who wasn't even supposed to make the roster.
Well Hills isn't a bad player but I rather had Rodgers, or Vick (yea people get over it) on the cover. So, to avoid Vick being on the cover, they chose someone from the Browns?

Sorry, dropping a glass is a mistake. Getting in a (non drunk) car accident CAN be a mistake. Choosing the wrong console CAN be a mistake. Choosing to breed and torture animals for YEARS is not a mistake. Im no PETA freak, but I can tell you have to be one sick SOB to hang a dog from a tree, or to torture the CRAP out of animals for FUN. No he's a sick ****, and yes it has nothing to do with his career in the NFL, but as a company would you want some puppy torturing/killing monster to be your "cover man", I know i wouldn't. Seriously, if what he did was a 'mistake' then every horrible dictator can say the same.
[QUOTE="Dr_Corndog"]Good for him. I'd rather have Vick, though.AncientDozerMe too, if only to stuff it in the face of those PETA turds. I hate peta too, doesn't mean it's cool for people to torture animals. Please go read IN DETAIL all the sick **** this guy did to these animals. ITS LESS ABOUT THE ANIMALS and more about WHY YOU WOULD WANT TO MAKE THINGS SUFFER THIS BADLY. forget the animal side of it. A person that like making things suffer is a disgusting person.. and in need of mental help.
Lol @ people who said anyone can run over Panthers. They clearly do not know anything about NFL and of course they don't understand why this guy is chosen. Browns my favorite team and I seen every play from him. HE'S A BEAST. Youtube him of the best plays he made, not just showing him running over panthers lol. He runs over anyone. He deserves to be on the cover.
EDIT: Oh yeah and I forgot, he jumps HIGH for a 250 pounder.... He's got amazing strength. Check this out. Especially for those who think it just the panthers he ran over. He's also versatile. One hand catch? Check. Runs through multiple players? Check. Jumps high? Check. Fast? Check. AND he's 250 pounds... he's a freak of a nature.

Did he just make a home run at the end of the period?
... I'm pretty sure that was a slam dunk. They were down at the top of the 10th inning and it was either that orgo for a whole in one.
Yeah same, I'm weird like that. But Hillis? He was good for about a 5 game stretch, and then went back to being a nobody last year. Looking at the bracket now, there are about 14 guys I would have picked ahead of him.The only reason I didn't want Vick on the cover is because he was on the cover a few years ago.

Not that I'm a football fan, but not choosing Vick was probably the best decision. That man should burn in hell for his dog fighting fiasco. Think of how many poor dogs lost their lives to that lunatic over the 5 year period, and i hardly doubt he felt any remorse what so ever. If he hadn't of been caught, he would still be doing it. And i don't care if he served his time or not, the man is a sick, sadistic, mentally unstable sorry excuse for a human being. Hidden_HandSeriously, why are you people like that? Oh yeah, DUH no one's perfect. Everyone does some bad things in their life and even A LOT worse than dog fighting... oh yeah, dog fights? They're not humans. Yup, that's right. So, how about we call someone sick, sadistic, mentally unstable sorry excuse for doing some harm to a human. Even if it's stealing or fighting a human, it's worse than dog fights.

So, how about we call someone sick, sadistic, mentally unstable sorry excuse for doing some harm to a human. Even if it's stealing or fighting a human, it's worse than dog fights. It doesn't matter. There is a reason why we have laws against this kind of crap, and why it has a jail term attached to it. Anyone incarcerated is deemed not fit for human society. And yes it is very accurate to call him sick, sadistic, mentally unstable, regardless of the crime he committed. A crime is a crime. Just because it's animals instead of humans doesn't make it any better. I'm sure if he wasn't a football star he would still be doing these sorts of things, and it lends to his personal nature and mentality as a person. More than likely, due to his personal nature/mentality, he would probably be doing a lot more severe things if he wasn't in the NFL.
This was posted awhile back and explains well why I am happy Vick didn't get it

However the burning in hell comes after he dies. People seriously need to let this one go. If people don't believe in rehabilitation, then I've lost faith in humanity.
