How could my fellow Lemmings hype Eternal Sonata AA? Seriously..

Was it the developers that made such great games such as uhhh.. ummm.. wait! they haven't made any games as a studio!!

Sure it's a cute game with a nice art style but AA?

You guys sound like cows hyping everything that looks pretty..

Well they've worked on sound with tri-Ace for some games, and then co-developed the Baten Kaitos games with Monolith.

I can tell you just dont like JRPGs, I dont either- But in "those" circles Baten Kaitos was/is a vry good series.

Heavenly Sword was hype AAA. It was made by a developer who's only other game was a crappy fighting game.GoodkupoBan

Good combat system? oh please.. this combat system is like 20 years old..The Art style is incredible but the graphics don't look too great.. Story seems like any other JRPG..

The only thing the two have in common is the over world where the player runs around, outside of that all the gameplay systems are completely different. Its like saying killzone 2 is resistance with a new coat of paint ^_^

Well you're not seeing it b/c you simply haven't bothered to research before you clicked the "new topic" button.

They've worked with tri-Ace on the sound development for franchises like Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile. Then they broke off and developed two RPG titles for the GC (Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos: Origins) with developer Monolith Soft.

I shouldn't need to educate you about a topic you created. You were wrong in saying they haven't done anything as a studio.

Sometimes I can't help but think that people don't hype games out of actually believing that it will get AA or AAA, but instead because they really really hope it will be. There is a difference.

Eternal Sonata might have fallen into this hoping, instead of believing, simply because it is one of the few RPG's for the 360 platform, and good lord we all know it needs another great one (outside of Oblivion).

So don't bash the Lemmings for hyping a game as AA. Pat them on the back and let them know that they just might get there wish.

Agreed, after TC made that comment I already knew this guy just wanted to bash the game. This game nothing like Blue Dragon. Complete;y different except for both of them being JRPG's.
