For people buying Forza 5 or Gran Turismo 6

Are you going to play bumper cars and crash your way to the finish line, or are you going to try and race cleanly?

If anyone wants some tips on how to become a better clean racer, I can help if you want. I'm not the faster guy in the world, but I'm in the top 1% and have over a decade of sim racing experience.

i race clean, but if someone rams me make sure as hell i ram back.I usually toot to say im sorry if im not on my head set.

going back to actual racing games after gta v races is like a breathe of fresh air because people are actually sensible instead of ramming although i've had some awesome lobby's where we all race cleanly.

Still though im just up for a good race without any total bellends, half the time i end up prefering racing the cpu as dull as that sounds due to the fact i dont have to put up with utter idiots.

@razgriz_101: I used to host open lobbies all the time and tell everyone who joined that I was expecting clean racing. Worked out pretty well and I made a ton of friends that way. Lately though my free time is more limited (I have 2 kids now) but I still try and do this every once in a while.

I will be getting GT6 day one, and Forza 6 likely day one whenever that happens.

I race clean where possible, if I'm online in a lobby full of rammers, then there's no point trying to race cleanly though.

Hell I race cleanly in GTA V

if you don't race cleanly you shouldn't play, my opinion at least

@_Matt_: I don't know if I'll be getting GT6 yet. If I don't it will be the first proper GT game I've skipped. The question for me will be whether I can go back to last gen after I get my hands on FM5. I may have to wait for a GT game on the PS4.

I might pass on GT6 and wait for GT7..but for sure FM5..IMO i really don't look to the consoles for a online sim experience. I will play online time to time, but i feel with most users not having a wheel and just coming off playing burnout it's a mess and just frustrates me.

I race clean so when i want my online fix i will head over to Iracing, r-factor ETC.

Yeah I can imagine it is a tough one. I don't know when the next GT will be, so I will be grabbing GT6. Usually the second GT of a generation is the better of the two, so GT6 SHOULD be a lot better than GT5. We shall see, probably won't get great reviews as will be obviously compared to a next gen game, but we shall see.

@R3FURBISHED: I'll admit I am a jerk in GTA Online. That's my outlet for dirty racing.

@masiisam it really helps to get involved in a league or something on the consoles. With the right group of people the racing is just as good as the PC sims (minus pit strategies). I tried getting some race nights started on Gamespot when FM4 came out, but there just isn't enough of us and we are all scattered around the world so it didn't work out. There are some good communities out there though if you look.

I play with realistic damage turned on so if I were to play number cars I wouldn't even make it the first lap.

GT7 will be a considerable upgrade over GT6....and hopefully a considerable upgrade without Standard cars.

I can't wait for GT6. The new premiums, the new tracks like Ascari, Goodwood. You should check out the new vision cars on GTPlanet. The Mercedes is intimidating.

This time I plan to take part in those racing leagues once a weekend. Super GT or F1.

Yeah it should be stellar. Based on the "in a year or two" comment Kaz made about it, I'm guessing it will be coming out around the same time as FM6 (2015). If that's the case it will be an interesting year.
