For me it was DS2, but I'm a huge fan of the original so I guess I'm kinda biased. I was deeply worried that EA was taking the sequel into a much more action-oriented direction ("Call of Duty-level action" so said one developer), so I was relieved to see that it's demo felt very much like the original. Of course it's only a demo, but I think this is a good sign of things to come. Opinions?

The Mass Effect 2 demo definitely. I really really liked it. DeadSpace 2 was alright. Didn't care too much for it.

Dead Space 2 had the better demo. I felt they chose a really terrible way to do the demo for ME2, granted I've played the full game on PC and I've seen areas that are better for a demo than the opening bit. LBP2 demo was better then both though.

Well I didn't technically mean ONLY for PS3 gamers (we just recently got the demos, on the same day I believe). 360 gamers can give their opinions if they so choose.

Assuming that you're talking about DS2, it does have a sprint button. Hold L2 if I'm remembering correctly. A jump button would do nothing to improve the gameplay.

people dont seem to get games without jumping the level design is more simplistic than games with jumping. no jumping games the level design just seems too flat/grounded.

OOO, I highly recommend it. It's not exactly "pure" horror like Silent Hill or Amnesia, but it's still an amazing game. The Ishimura is one of my all time favorite game environments, right up there with Rapture.

It's been something I've wanted to play for a while now, but the time and money was never there. Hell, if I buy it now, it'd be on the backburner 'til I finish up New Vegas and run through Vanquish a couple of times.

Dead Space 2. I was also worried they were going to change things. The only noticeable change was the zero gravity segment, which I thought was awesome.

The new zero-g was weird to me at first, but after spending some time with it I think it's an improvement over the original's zero-g.

Dead Space 2. I recently finished the first game on Hard and I'm replaying it to get the other trophies before doing my Impossible run. I loved the game enough to want to Platinum it, so I'm really looking forward to Dead Space 2. The LBP2 demo was rad, too.

As for Mass Effect 2, I'm not sure how I feel just yet. I tried running through the demo once and was really tired / falling asleep. I intend to replay it later, but my experience thus far has been a bit disappointing. ME2 was one of those games that I heard so many good things about and was looking forward to playing at some point, but between the short-natured "save game generator" for the first game going into the second game (for PS3 owners) and how dull the demo felt thus far, I'm not sure I want to pick it up now.

Bear in mind, I LOVE 3rd Person Shooters and I really like RPGs. I dumped over 120 hours into Fallout 3, so I'm not exactly a stranger to dialogue trees. Still, something feels...I don't know, off? The graphics are good if not great at times. Strangely, the voice acting feels spotty to me, namely male Commander Shepard. I guess given all the praise and stellar reviews I'd heard I was expecting too much.

I've heard that the demo is a bad representation of the game and that if you're only playing it as a 3rd person cover-based shooter without using your abilities that you're doing it wrong. I've played demos where I thought the game was okay but then absolutely loved the full game (inFamous and Batman: Arkham Asylum come to mind). I'll play through the demo again when I'm fully conscious later to get a better take on it.

Neither. ME2 had poor gameplay and DS2 felt just like the original in every way, and I never finished the original.

mass effect 2 (Ps3) be the better game regardless.

the dead space 2 demo was pretty good, played it on the 360, I really liked dead space, i thought it was better than RE 4 in terms of being a psychological thriller, etc.

I played ME2 and it was terrible. Dull environments, enemies etc. All characters faces were super stiff and stripped from emotions during cutscenes and dialogue play. The shooting/cover was real bad aswell. I'm shocked so many like this game.

The new zero-g was weird to me at first, but after spending some time with it I think it's an improvement over the original's zero-g.

Yeah as soon as Isaac lifted off the ground I thought it was weird. But floating around and learning how to control yourself was quick to learn and felt comfortable with the rest of the game. I imagine there's going to be some fun zero gravity fights with this new system :D

The game doesn't demo well as it is a very involving story that takes a while to get going. On top of that, your skill level increases over time so the gunplay gets better as well.
