I would love anybody to tell me convincingly that NES was the best hardware on the market..or for that matter Atari 2600.

Although some will argue that PS1 was the worst, Saturn was a mess that was larger, more expensive, and harder to code for than the PS2 and N64 was a mess with expensive game carts which also limited space, way too little RAM, and poorer audio than PS1.

N64 was only stronger graphically and not exactly by a landslide either.

2600 was graphicly weaker it won. NES was weaker it won SNES was weaker it won PS1 graphics were only HALF of what N64 provided, but PS1 won. That is false, the Genesis was only stronger in one regard, it had a higher clockspeed (around 733 compared to SNES's 333 or so). Atari's offering was stronger if you looked at sheer specifications but inferior in every other respect and came out later than them both.

Most of the games scoring that low are virtual console ports from some 10-15 years ago. Not all games age very well. It's hard to even call them Wii games.

I think you need to get over the fact that many people don't care about graphics. This has proven time and time again throughout every generation.

It's happened before, PS1, PS2, GB, GBC, DS, Etc.

It will win, i dont care eather because nitendo got me into gamming sortta with the nes.

It is a cool system it gives off a great first impresssion. The first time my friend played one all he did was talk about it, than he got one the next week. Now he barley playes it. Its better to play with friends, or if your younger you can get into it alot better. Its a great casual console, with a casual price, with casual games. No doubt it will win.

Idk thats just my opinion, cause if Wii wins sellin 200 million consoles, but it has like 15 AAA titles and like 100 AA titles, but PS3 comes in last with like 59 AAA titles and 200 AA titles, wouldn't that mean PS3 was better despite not selling as much?

I think everyone is going over the deep end on this Wii thing. It has no legs to go the distance. You really think the Wii is going to continue selling like this indefinitely? First off, try to make a point with your posts. Bashing a system and calling people stupid for enjoying a certain game or system is the shortcut to people not caring about you comments.

What is wrong with an older person enjoying the Wii? Is there some unwritten rule that says only young males can enjoy a game system? If children, women and older people enjoy the Wii, that I say its a good thing. Yes, there will be casual games, but the deep games will still be there. Look at the DS, and tell me how many deep games you can find.

The more people that own a system, the more games that get developed for it. Why did the PS1 and PS2 get so many games? Because more people owned it than any other system in their generation.

Look at the Gameboy family and the DS. Notice the same trend? The more people that own the hardware, the more games that will be developed for it.

We have no idea what the future holds for the Wii. Quit assuming that this year will play host to the only AAA games for the Wii and stop giving us posts like this.

Making comments like this makes you no better than the people you seek to insult. I'm pretty sure old guys don't go around to gaming sites calling people retarded for liking a system.

All the weak systems that won before had good games. The Wii is gonna win even though it is filled with sub-par games and has few good games. That is why it's bad. If the wii wins then everyone will create terrible, gimmick,cheap systems that are filled with crap and dotted with diamonds. There are a few good games but its not enough in my opinion. People are only buying it because it is cheap and not because it has anything worthwhile.

The ps2 was riding on the ps1's success and its cheap dvd player. Therefore the Dreamcasts death inevitable. Yeah it didn't have good games at first but the cube didn't really either and the xbox was a newcomer. The ps2 was also cheap to develop for so it was the obvious choice of most devs.
