For the most part NBA 2k7 is a mess

Although this game does many things right, there are way too many glaring glitches and problems with this game. Although I love the new animations in the game there are way too many instances in which they just get in the way and make you lose control over your team in key situations.

I can't tell you how many times I've just finished scoring and my playing gets caught up in a "celebration animation" in which I'm unable to get out of and the opposing team runs down full court and scores on me. There are just too many "damn, that was cheap!" instances in this game in which you lose total control of whats going on the court. These glaring problems are most apparent and troublesome while playing online. Another example is, when I have my player with his back to the basket and I barely hit the shot button, my player gets caught in a turn around jump shot animations in which I am unable to get out of and attempts a CRAZY shot that never goes it.

Furthermore, I can't tell you how many times I've been up 20+ points in the fourth quarter and 9 times out of 10, the computer gives the opposing team an amazing ability to hit shots from where ever on the court while I'm unable to make the most basic of layups allowing the other team to get right back into the game. Furthermore, the opposing team is able to steal from me whenever they want and run all the way down court as my players try to catch up to them while running backwards.

Among these really big glitches in the game there are other small ones that just take away from the overall feel of the game. Such as when the ref attempts time after time to give your player the ball in order for it to be thrown it but the ball hits another player in the back.

Although I like this game I just think at times this game can be just a big mess and almost unplayable. I sure hope they get these glitches worked out in next years version.

1 tap the turbo button to stop the celebration amination

2 i havent noticed the cpu catching up in the last quarter when up by alot

3 the refs do throw the ball at players but i havent had it become a problem for me

What i dont like is that u cant pump fake when underneath the basket, you tap the shot button and he puts it up no matter what

also i hate that sometimes you have to wait for the amination to finish to shoot the ball, the shot clock got me a couple times, now when i see 5 on the clock i try and shot it imediately lol 

lastly they should have a layup/dunk button and a seperate shoot button, i cant count how many time i try and go in for a layup an the guy takes a stupid jump shot! this should be standard in basketball games.

either way NBA 2k7 is the best basket ball ive played in a long time

The only ones i really have a problem with is the pump faking one and the animation. There have been many times when i shot the ball when i didn't want to. And yea, i don't like how there can be animation at the same time the game is going on.

Yeah i know what you're talking about, if you have your back facing the hoop, slightly tapping the shot button makes him take a terrible shot. There should really be some way to pivot more.
