Both my man, both.
I like Halo ONLY when I play the campaign cooperatively. Not to say the game isn't great, just I think Halo is more appreciated when you take advantage of those multiplayer options. Plus the multiplayer is great (outside campaign).
The solitary experience of Metroid Prime 3 is unmatched. The world is living and breathing, and its just you trying to figure out what exactly is wrong. I love it. Though I think Prime3 will be more FPS than the earlier entries, it'll still be a solitary experience vs. Halo's multiplayer extravaganza.
The Wii60 combo, you might as well get both games, that's the point.
For me i would want Metroid Prime 3:Corruption because its totally new. Halo 3 is the same as Halo2 but with better graphics and a new story mode. As of what i have seen about MP3: Corruption its totally new.machod_19
From what I've played it plays a lot like the same, I would hardly call it "totally new" since it's design is based off of that of early Metroid iterations, just as Halo 3 is based off the remiander of it's franchise.
Metroid Prime 3. The beta assured me that Halo 3 would only last me a week of entertainment, and I really don't trust Bungie with a decent singleplayer experience after Halo 2.project343
I actually consider the second to have a better campaign. I always find it ironic b/c after the first Halo hit so many people complained about how completely repetitive the level design was (Library being the primary example), and so Bungie address that throws in some different gameplay and a couple plot twists well beyond what the first ever accomplished and it's some how the lesser of the two. Never did understand that, in many ways I blame it on the sophmore curse. You can ony ever experience something new for the first time, everything after that even if objectively better will never provide that first time feeling.

The reason the second wasnt liked so much was because it didnt contain the open feel of the first. Alot of it took place in corridors and along linear routes, and there there was a load of slow lifts and whatnot that just got plain boring.

Much of the first was contained as well, and more repetitive for that matter. H:CE even contained a lot of what I would like to call "forwardtracking". Like backtracking but going over some of the same content while moving forward in the flow of the game.

Yeah, but it was the open feel that grabbed people. Levels like "Halo" where you could rescue the marines in any order; stuff like that. I do admit they had the problem with repetitive corridors and whatnot, but i dont think it hurt the campaign as much as the Halo 2 campaign was hurt. I just think the first Halo's campaign was alot more fun. Alot of things detracted from the fun in Halo 2. One example is the Brutes, which just were not an exciting enemy to fight.
If I had to pick, I'd choose Metroid.
Sorry Chief, but the gameplay possibilities... they're pretty amazing. I love the new grapple beam, and Wiimote aiming is awesome. After playing MP:Hunters I'd especially find it hard to go back to a FPS (or FPA, whatever) without touch or motion aiming. So precise and fluid.
I haven't played a lot of either, but I do like the creepy alien environments of Metroid more than the grassy/techy maps of Halo.
Is this a joke thread ?
Halo 3, and I am by no means a Halo fanboy. But the Prime series sucks 100%

The scores of the previous Metroid Prime games disagree with you. I am anticipating MP3:C way more than Halo 3, but I will pick Halo up eventually.

do more research
based on what i know about them....MP3. im a single player person and i just get the feeling that bungie are going to have more focus on mutliplayer for halo3. thats if i could only choose 1 though. ill be getting both. at the very least, halo 3s campaign will be a blast in split screen coop. i just hope its better than the seconds SP campaign.osan0
I think they are concentrating on the Single player way more than multiplayer. They even hired people from Weta works (CG artist that did Lord of the rings) to help with the cut scenes. They already had a working Multiplayer they just have to balance it and it seems they are just about done because the beta was very solid.
