For those who bought a WIi because they couldn't "afford" an Xbox360

How hard is it to save an additional $150 at most? A year? A month? A week?

You people need to stop exaggerating the price of the Xbox360. It's more expensive than the Wii, yes, but it's not "too" expensive that it's beyond reach. If you really wanted it, and if you had $250, you could have easily gotten it.

This "it's too expensive" nonsense is ridiculous.

You would be surprised how having to spend money on other things in life makes people not be able to save more money. I for one bought a Wii because I wanted one, not because it was the cheapest system. Most people buy what they want, not what they can afford.foxhound_fox

It may only be $150-200 in between the prices of the console, but that's 1/2 or 1/3 of a console, and it's a significant increase. Stop bashing others just because they may not have as much free cash as you.

Though I admit, it's pretty easy to save up the extra cash if you have even a part time job.

Same here. Actually, I had enough for 2 and a half 360s, but I got a Wii and a ps3 instead because they have my favorite franchises.

I bought a Wii for LoZ: TP. The onyl other game out right now that i'minterested in is MP8, but when i played it i felt that everything was left up to chance, and that there was no skill involved.

I feel the purchase was warranted just for TP (i'm a big Zelda fanboy) but i'm highly anticipating SMG and SSBB.

He probably meant games labeled as "casual games". Gamers can still enjoy Warioware; I fail to see the problem so many people have with gamers playing those sorts of games.

Kids have a hard time accepting simpler games.

it's not because ppl don't have the money. they don't want to spend that much on a 360.

This topic is not about why the Wii is winning (even though I do agree that it is mostly because of the Wii-mote that it's wining); rather, it's about the excuse (a lame one in my eyes) that some people use to justify buying the Wii over the 360, even though, according to them, they really wanted a 360.

These people were rampant a few months ago and I know there are still some around.

I bought a Wii because I like Nintendo's Franchises but I also bought a 360, actually my brother did because he wanted to play Halo 3 and Halo Wars, and good thing he did buy a 360 because I wouldn't get to play Bioshock if he didn't have a 360.

Agreed. That's why I'll be getting one for my room in about a month along with a new tv. It's called get a job people!

maybe they're worried about their 360's overheating or they dont want to pay 50 bucks a year for online. Maybe they want something a little different from the norm instead of just graphicsNorthlandMan

Maybe graphics isn't all the 360 has to offer. Maybe no one is forcing them to spend $50 for online play (it's like owning a Wii - no online). I guess that leaves the controller.
