Forespoken worth $35?

FYI the reason I'm asking is because the Steam Summer Sale is going on and there's all kinds of great deals.

Just picked up:

• Undetected
• Rebel Inc
• Evil West
• Untitled Goose Game (can't wait to play this!)
• Stranded: Alien Dawn

Thinking of capping things off with Forespoken but honestly unless people really endorse the price point I might pass.

@mrbojangles25: I played the demo and it was shit. Completely uninspired open world trash with no redeeming value that I could find. Not worth your time, let alone actually paying money for it. Even Sonic Frontiers looks like a better game. Also, you can get cheap keys for games year round from key sites. Don't have to wait for sales.

Evil West looks like good fun. It is in my backlog.

Got my copy for $20 from GameFly (they sell games)

@mrbojangles25: I wouldn't waste money on Forspoken when you have Evil West, such a good game, but play it on the harder difficulty on a second playthrough.

I assume it's improved quite a bit since release, but idk.

The real question is: are you going to play it? It could be $5 but if you don't have time because you already have a massive backlog, it would be $5 wasted. There will be at least 2 more times this year that it will be the same price or less on Steam (Thanksgiving / Black Friday sales and Christmas/New Years).

If you think you'll get to it before Thanksgiving AND IF it's something you really wanted to play after the demo, I'd say go for it.

Yeah that's a fair point. I definitely tend to overdo it on sales lol, I like to "collect" games.

Honestly if you're still wanting to check it out better just get it out of your system now.

@mrbojangles25: The core game is solid but the game world is dead because of the story. This eliminates all normal life outside the city area. This in turn leads to open world sections being practically the same regardless of location and kills any meaningful exploration. Did you try the demo?

I bought it on launch day for PC, (And didn't have to pay full price either) the gameplay is what got me into it and I like the magic special effects but as Pedro said, the open-world was a dead zone. If your gonna play it, just focus on the main quest and get through the game asap.

I've heard the DLC is good but I doubt I don't have the time right now to buy it and play it as I've got other games that needs my attention.

Haven't played it and personally wouldn't play it for free. And 35 bucks is like 2-3 good indie games that'd be more fun and last longer.

I am enjoying it and I got it at full price.

Mehh personally I would probably pick it up around the 20$ mark, the demo didn’t really sell me on it and so many great games to play atm! Also looking to dedicate my life to bg3 when august hits so don’t really need a Ubisoft open world game to take up my playtime!

I don't know what part the demo included, but the game gets SUBSTANTIALLY better the further you get into it.
