Here it is... the game that started it all.

What a wonderful generation this is turning out to be. Hardcore has been met by a new genre of punk games.

Sorry I haven't learnt how to post screenshots. There's no sticky about how to post pictures.

Everything needs to be explained in a sticky.

No More Heroes is one of the worst games to come out

It's a lazily developed, broken game that is so repetitive the guy who coined the phrase "wash, rinse, repeat" is suing for copyright infringement.

If the best game is a broken game with no polish then I fear for what else comes this way.

I liked no more heroes, but the concept of "punk games" is hilariously rediculous.

no more heroes gameplay is really good and it is by far the most creative game to come out this gen. The game is perfect for anyone who feels like gaming is falling into the same patterns lately, which I feel has been happening.

No More Heroes was a 10 boss fight game. The rest was filler which should not have been implemented, and it should have been released either as a budget or WiiWare game.

That said, the boss levels / fights were incredible, and it has one of the most hilarious endings I've ever seen. Honestly, I'd put it up there with Portal's.

How do I make correct statements? I missed the sticky thread about how not to be dumb on Gamespot.

I fail to see what is so "punk" about these games. Is it the fancy clothes? The obsession with obtaining wealth and fame at any cost?

Is that what desperate casuals have resorted to defining as punk these days?

Well, it's not really a "punk" game, but it certainly does have it's own style. Looks like Madworld and HotD will have their own unique styles as well, although they're not all too similar to NMH.

Sorry I disagree, its most innovative feature was the fact that my Wiimote doubled as a Cell, that was cool, but the character models sucked, there was no variety in enemies and they make you do menial chores just so I can get to the cool boss fight. Sorry but after the fourth time in going to the garage to kill a bunch of enemies in suits, again, I had enough.

It had great interesting bosses, poor boring minigames and poor enemy variety. It had alot of potential but the gameplay was repetitive and boring. Hack n slash at its worst.

Who cares about the character models. You don't get it. The gameplay was on speed one minute and getting you to cut the grass the next minute. It was a massive high.

That's why some people don't quite get No More Heroes. You can't exactly be autistic and enjoy it. Good for ADD though. Anyone who's just wired differently or on drugs.

The best bit is every kids mum owns one. This generation is going to be fireworks.

astrocreep huh?

Anyway hardcore is someone who played Monkey Island in 1991 or who started playing Civilization within the first two games. Not someone who makes his own Halo stuff out of cardboard. It's not Killzone and Halo are hardcore, they're just incredibly lame.

Simple..yes...addicting, I guess different strokes for different folks. It wasnt the blood, I am desensitized to gore, it was the fact that you had only a few combos that got repetitive fast. And I felt the motion part was kinda of tacked on there. Trust me I am a huge hack n slash fan and I really wanted to like this game, I bought it to support these kind of games on the Wii but it turned out to be so boring.

I hate that people are copying GTAs signature of giving the gamer menial chores to occupy your time and not let you skip to the good stuff. This should have gone the route of SOTC and just focused on giving us more awsome boss fights and instead of spending time figuring stupid tasks for the gamer or weak assasination kills how about just add more Boss fights. I would have loved this game if I could have skipped, mowing, picking up trash, and assasing people in a garage and gone straight to boss fights. That was the only Gem in this game, IMO.

Because Halo's not cool.

It died.

:'(

There are still quite a few people playing it online and last time I checked, there aren't any FPSs on the Wii that is anywhere near as good as any of the Halo games.

First Person Shooters are a lame genre. Dead. Last generation. Dodo.

I've played enough shooters for one lifetime. From Shadow Warrior to System Shock 2. Halo sucks and has always sucked.

Or conversly if the open world were actually more open / not just a empty wastesd space.

For instance if you could do more then just go get missions, if you could find them, or do other things for money... with out having to start the clock that would be cool.

Uncharted Drakes Fortune was a Tomb Raider clone. Don't talk to me about casual you casual.

What? I'm sorry that the truth is painful to you.

As for me playing UNcharted...I couldn't care less what you think of the game. It's a great game that any real gamer should play. And the fact that I don't feel the need to define myself through the games I play automatically makes me WAY more "punk" than you and NMH combined. NMH isn't punk. It's cosplay.

this game was so rich with subtext that if anyone could not look beyond the broken aspect of the environment they do not deserve to ever refer to another game as artistic

high production values are one thing, but this game has a soul behind it

while at the same time, mocking everything about the industry and culture clash

very introspective game that gets very little appreciation for what it really provides, thought and discussion

this game was more fun for me after i beat it and actually got to read into it

best game i've played this year next to TWEWY

Repetitive gameplay, Unorignal characters, Camera problems, Over usage of backgrounds! Too many flaws.

I loved the art style i just hated everything else about the game. I loved the Mini Games, I loved the cheesiness of the voice overs which 90% the time never matched up to what the person was actually saying. The bad points overly outweigh the good.

The game was unorignal at best apart from its graphics!

Dibdibdobdobo

Repetitive gameplay, Unorignal characters, Camera problems, Over usage of backgrounds! Too many flaws.

I loved the art style i just hated everything else about the game. I loved the Mini Games, I loved the cheesiness of the voice overs which 90% the time never matched up to what the person was actually saying. The bad points overly outweigh the good.

The game was unorignal at best apart from its graphics!

What about the story?

Wow, there's like 4 simultaneous arguments going on in this thread. Is anyone else getting lost?

I don't care. There aren't any FPS's on the Xbox360 that are as good as System Shock 2.

That's a pretty weak dodge. In fact, it's downright embarrassing.

First Person Shooters are a lame genre. Dead. Last generation. Dodo.

I've played enough shooters for one lifetime. From Shadow Warrior to System Shock 2. Halo sucks and has always sucked.

What about Metroid Prime 3?

There are exceptions such as Bioshock and yes Metroid Prime 3. But there is generally a lot of shooterware on the Xbox360.

Halo isn't bad, it's just tired and old. Killzone is pathetic scripted and ugly.

No More Heroes was really fun, I don't understand why people hated on the game.
