'Forgotten' games this gen...

This may be an odd topic, but what games do you think that are 'forgotten' this generation here on System Wars?

When I mean forgotten, I mean games which have had good acclaim, but a year or so later, there are barely ever mentioned.

... Umm, yeah thats probably still confusing but I hope these examples give you some ideas.

Bioshock: An FPS with RPG elements, a great storyline and horror had to be good. And it was, with an average score on Metacritic of 96, which is the same as HL2.

But wait, what about now? The sequel is coming in 4 months and I see no anticipation for it whatsoever. Even the Bioshock boards are left out to dry.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption: OK so it's a Wii game. No one here gives a damn about it since it is a Wii game. But in truth, those who've played it know how great it is.

The World Ends with You: It's nice to see that everyone is waiting for FFXIII- I am as well. But TWEWY is barely ever mentioned. This game is, hands down, one of the most innovate, if not the most innovative RPG this generation. The ending hinted at a sequel, but sadly I dont think it will happen because sales were 0.5million. (But SE wants more of course)

Got some others, but it would take some time to explain them all.

Bioshock? I don't think so, especially with it being released late on PS3 and Bioshock 2 coming.

Red Faction Guerrilla. One of the best sandbox games *this generation* And no one ever talks about it. What a shame.skrat_01

I really like the Overlord game's, just finishing Overlord 2 and its great. Then it's Uncharted 2 time

MP3 has been forgotten because MPT is out. TWEWY is always mentioneds on the ds boards, its not forgotten.

jeanne d'arc is probably my favourite psp game.

otherwise, the reason nobody talks about lot of games is because theyre mutliplat, and this is system wars, so really who cares. wii games, whatever, i dont bother to read wii related topics and i ignore anybody who types in all bold/italicized/funkly colours, but from when i used to read those posts, i remember a lot of nintendo supporters did that, so maybe im just missing a lot of wii stuff.

Plants Vs Zombies

Such a funny and adorable game that didn't get much attention aside from when it was released, and even then it wasn't that talked about.

I'm playing the PC version. Incredible destruction, lots to do, and a lot of fun. Where's the love?

Dead Rising.

Best zombie game this gen. Sequel needs more hype.

I'd say Valkyria Chronicles as well, but I think it's gotten enough attention the past few months to make it memorable.

Not just a forgotten AAAE, but the forgotten yet possibly the greatest strategy game of all time.

Every time I make a comment about StarCraft II looking like it has outdated gameplay and somebody responds with "Well, what's really changed in strategy games since the first one came out? What are you expecting?" I wish I could somehow punch them through the internet and hand them a copy of that game at the same time.

I totally agree with you on The World Ends With You. At first I wasn't so sure if the game was worth the forty dollar price tag, but I eventually got it and still no regrets about it. Great and interesting story that really got me hook into this game, and the gameplays with the pins was a really fresh and great idea in my opinion.

Dead Space it's not really forgotten but it's not as famous as it should
