Everything I've read about it sounds like it is a good game for F1 fans. I could care less for F1 so I'm not getting it, but it will likely be a hit in europe.

Yeah, it looks like a decent game, but honestly it shouldn't have really been hyped because games like this never get astounding scores. I think the only reason it was really being hyped was because its a PS3 game, and all PS3 games are high profile releases at this point. I think the Sony fans need to be a little more disciplined when it comes to hyping games. They need to control the urges to hype any game they see. :P

what do you mean by that? What are the "games like this"? F1 games? I dunno what he meant. Maybe driving sims? I'm not much of a sim game fan either. They seem rather bland to me. Which is funny, cause usually they are games with some of the best "photorealistic" graphics. I'm sure if there was any hyping for this game, it was most likely from fans of the genre/europeans.

Maybe he meant foreign racing? or ... formula 1 ? I dunno. I'm not him. I suppose I was indirectly expressing my own feelings for the genre. :P I don't dislike the genre, I am just impartial to it. I couldn't see myself being excited about winning a 4 hour race around a track shaped somewhat like an ampersand (&). :P

It is not very often that you see a driving sim do well, other than Gran tourismo. There are just s many ways to screw them up, and people expect so much out of their sim games.

There are just s many ways to screw them up, and people expect so much out of their sim games. that's propably because Gran Turismo isn't a sim :)
some cows whenever hype was building up for Forza 2, they'd break out the GT5, Motorstorm, and F1 trifecta. Posting screenshots like mad to show teh PS3 powerz.
Would the FIA please, please, please take the F1 license away from these losers and give it to a proper PC developer so we can all enjoy a proper F1 sim again. Â Â
