As it stands, Forza 2 and PGR4 are the best racers available.

I (a lemming) believeGT5 will surpass them, but I'm a racing fan way before I'm a lemming.

ive had the gt5p demo for a few weeks now and while it does look nicer than forza 2, the handling in forza is much better.

This is not going to end well.

I can't give my opinion on it though because I haven't played GT 5 Prologue yet.

Jeez when will fanboyism ever stop.

Anybody who likes pure sim racers will enjoy GT and Forza. They both offer slightly diff takes on the SIM racer. One is all looks and style and is great and the other is all about customization, tuning, realism and social online adn is also good.

Both games are great yes one has better looks but like I've found last time Gt4 wasnt as enjoyable as Forza 1 and the GTHD demo is the only comparable playable thing to forza 2 and I had far more fun in Forza 2.

I cant wait for GT5 and I also can't wait for Forza 3. Its nice to see 2 devs pushing each other and also have total respect. Its a real shame gamers have to become all fanboyed about it as both games deserve respect. Seems someof the battles between these 2 games are really battles of MY PS3 IS BETTER THAN YR 360 & VIVE VERSA.

PS: Forza 2 was a disappointment to me. But as a complete racer its one fo the best out there and GT has yet to2 breleased. Any real GT fan would own Forza NOW and wait for Gt5 to come out and get the fill of that til Forza 3 comes out. Both these games are usually split apart its perfect for SIM racer fans.

It will probably be costumization and gameplay will be better in forza2 and graphics will probably be GT5. I dont know though.. GT5 might be one hell of a race game when the real version comes out..

Its a fanboy response to fanboy thread.

Theres no point in writing anything meaningful in this thread, it's just flamebait. The TC is either a fakeboy lemming or a cow on an alternate account.

Forza has been more hardcore than GT ever since its inception in 2005. Just look at the massive community and the hours people are putting into their cars. More precise, more features makes it the better racing sim. GT is more of a game you can pick up and play for 2 or 3 hours, Forza is a game that you spend all day with. /Coming from someone whos favorite game is GT3.

That makes sense, but Casual or Hardcore focus doesn't make either better. Its the filling in the middle of the donut that counts.

Mmmm yum. I'm hungry now. :(

in graphics yes.. gameplay.. don't know yet.

my biggest concern at this point in time is that they still have that horrible squeeking tire sound ALL THE FREAKING TIME. it sounds very unreal and therefore is VERY unimmersive.

Gran Turismo is a real driving simulator, it portrays nearly everything that is offered plausible in real life. If you want to vandalise your car then go and play Forza.

Forza has been more hardcore Pro_wrestler

more hardcore.... to bad the definition of hardcore depends on the person that uses the word.... let's not use that word anymore. it's an empty word with no meaning. Just say the game is more realistic, has better physics, etc...

Does GTR2 contain lots of cars?

i.e. are there some mods with lots of cars?

No. Hardcore is defined by what you can do in the game, the length and creativity the player can put into the game as apposed to similar games. Forza is more hardcore than GT and it's community and what that community has done is evident of that.

Gran Turismo is a real driving simulator, it portrays nearly everything that is offered plausible in real life. If you want to vandalise your car then go and play Forza.

JCblueside

Your post is evidence that you don't know what the hell your talking about. The worst aspect of any GT game is it's actually driving, theres nothing realistic about it. It's like steering a tank using telekensis (Which is impossible if you didn't know).

And you can't vandalize your own property..that takes away from the definition.

until GT games add about 9,000 physics parameters it will always lag behind Forza and Forza 2.

having seen the GT 5 demo, i can honestly say i'm not impressed.... there is nothing there that isn't in Forza 2, with Forza 2 having far superior physics than any GT game...

if the tc is talking about the ACTUAL GT5 game, then he's self owned as it's not even completed yet... ;)

nope.. that's just your definition of "hardcore".. some people use it to describe games that are more "difficult to master". some just mean shooters and rpg's.. it's meaningless. just say what you really mean to say.

You can put a lot o creativity and lenght in to a lot of games that i'm sure you won't find hardcore.

Everyone can't create near perfect depictions of Samus Aran or Master Cheif using the livery editor in Forza...the fact that GT lacks one all together should indicate to you which one is more hardcore of the bunch. Harcore is not defined by a single element either, or else based what your saying, Solitare is more hardcore than...Counter-Strike..since I put more time in the former.

you don't understand. the word hardcore loses all meaning when different people use different definitions.

that's why i would rather see people just say what they really want to say. You could say forza is more complete.. ore you like the fact that it has more options...

When people say hardcore, the meaning can always be drawn to either how much skill it takes to master and how dedicated the fanbase is. Either of the two defines hardcore, doesn't really define which game is better, as that is opinion.

Most people won't argue opinion because you can't(In most cases). Thats why you see many fanboys playing the numbers game, listing things..etc.
