[QUOTE="DonPerian"]You want to compare an unannounced game with an unreleased one?!BromzWelcome to SW. Kindly leave your logic outside before entering.
I don't like the racing sims genre, I find it boring. But even I know that GT is the king.Floppy_JimIn what way. I don't play either games, but Forza has seemed to outperform GT score wise. GT will destroy Forza sales wise. I would take Mario Kart 64 over both though.

we still need to see if Forza 3 actually comes out in 2009.too_much_eslimAw damn. Well a lot were talking like F3 was guaranteed for 09', so I figured why not.
do we even know anything about Forza 3?st1ka

I thought all 4 GT games were AAA at metacritic/GR/GS. I don't care really, I'd take Wipeout HD and Motorstorm: PR over both.

[QUOTE="st1ka"]do we even know anything about Forza 3?foxhound_fox
Since back in 2006 we had many threads comparing the as yet to be released GT5 with the released Forza 2.Ya think maybe to be safe we should just compare Forza 5 with GT5 ? :P
Anywho, Forza 3 but since it's not officially announced; Race Pro > GT5.
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="st1ka"]do we even know anything about Forza 3?too_much_eslim
GT5 hands down.
Its a much bigger franchise than forza and it has always delivered a solid racing expirence that I'd rate higher than forza.
In sales I would think gt5 would move a lot of ps3's than forza would xbox's espcially overseas in europe and asia. Â
I think Forza 3 will be better. The Forza series has beaten GT at its own game twice now and I don't see that trend stopping any time soon. The_Game21xYour suppose to put IMO at the end. :P
we still need to see if Forza 3 actually comes out in 2009. Here is the thing Turn 10 knows they need to up their graphics engine and improve their physics a lot more. We will see when the games come out.too_much_eslimThe physics is sound, far superior to the GT series. They will need to work on the graphics to compete with GT5, I don't know if they will be able to compete on graphics or number of cars to be honest but FM3 will probably win on gameplay and customisation (actually I think they take customisation too far for me :?).

Panther501
The first part of sentence doesn't have anything to quality, and about the second part, which components were constituents of more solid racing experience than Forza, personal preferences aside?GT5 hands down.

It's not "far superior" than GT5p. But Forza 2's physics are certainly better than GT4's physics.

forza 2 is on 360, gt4 is on ps2... so you're trying to compare a 360 and a ps2 game... lol[QUOTE="dream431ca"][QUOTE="SapSacPrime"] The physics is sound, far superior to the GT series. Gran Turismo 5.
Want to know why?
I like the physics engine better.Â
The attention to detail is better.
The track selection and the accuracy of the track models are better.
The car models are more accurate.
It's just a better quality game. And that is my opinion. Nobody can change my mind about this since I have played both Forza 2 and GT4.

I really wish it was.
To quote Rikusaki (for some reason it won't let me do it the traditional way) on him claiming his opinion cannot be altered for he has played GT4 and Forza 2...
We're not talking about Forza 2 or GT4.
That being said,
You can't possibly like the physics better in one game or the other.
You can't possibly claim the attention to detail is better in one game or the other.
You can't possibly say the track selection is better.
You can't possibly say the car models are more accurate.
Like I said, you cannot possibly compare an unreleased game with an unannounced one. Comparing the previous iterations is not something to go by and is not the subject of this thread.

Not only is it implied, you practically said so by saying "I think" in the beginning. Regardless, the second half of your statement, by SW standards, can be considered factual considering the Forza series has outscored the GT series both times around here on GS.
I was never one to play by SW's rules. Play whatever you like and don't let others tell you otherwise. Advancing my defense, Rikusaki claimed he liked something he has yet to play.

lol I know. :P I agree with you. It' is very difficult to compare an unanounced game with an unreleased game.lol :P
I tried!
I've put more hours into all of the gt games that have ever been released than I care to remember. Great games.
Forza does motor racing better though.
No one can touch GT for presentation - more effort goes into the intro video's of a GT game then the whole of a forza game. And have you seen the graphics in prologue. They are amaxing.
They have barely touched the gameplay though. Its the same old thing, and the same old issues. I'm not even going to list them. Anyone that has spend serious time with the games already knows.
Forza>GT
if they make gt5 anything like prologue, then forza 3 will sell more based on gameplay ALONELostSoul03Why did you necro a 6 month old thread?
... i've been hearing alot of good things about the fonza series... :Pbox0rocks
Is this the new game about Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli? :P Eyyyyyyy!!!! (Snap fingers and point).
In terms of graphics GT5 prologue already owns Forza 2, hopefully they will implement a cock pit view in Forza 3. I always like the GT series a lot better, for some reason everytime i play Forza 2 it feels like a chore CODjon84i agree GT just gives you this immersive experience that i dont think any other game can touch.
