Forza 3 demo impressions ( from someone who played the game ! )

The thing that stood out to me was the detail of the environments, they are stunning.

The cars look great.

Damage is limited to which car you are driving

There is plenty of feedback so it doent feel " floaty "

Overall its plays like a Forza 2 which look alot lot better.

I would like to see an option to turn off the rewind feature, which in its credit ,works flawlessly

It will interesting to see what features there are in the full game

iv just finished the demo with every car, and i found when i used the audi with the metalic grey paint, the shawdows and relections from the car were absolutely amazing !!!

Driving in a plain red ferrari looks no where near as good

No I had Simulation damage on.

The handle is great along with the cockpit view and car detail, deffinetely a step up from forza. I am looking forward to getting my hands on the full game seeing as the only huge improvements over this and forza 2 is the amount of content, the graphics engine is meant to be better/newer than the one used for forza 2 but from the demo I haven't seen anything thats impressed me at all. I would like to point out that I do like the track its deffinetely a change from forza 2's lackluster collection(excluding mapple valley).Too_tight_shoes

In my run through, I definitly had some mixed feelings. I knew what to expect with the visuals so I was looking forward to how the cars drove. I tested three cars, the R8 V10, California and the Evo X. The Audi definitly got off the line fast and maintained steady throughout the corners but what I did notice is how the game does feel a tad detatched. The brakes seem a bit slushy and the steering responsiveness isn't quite as sharp I thought it would be. My favorite car, the California, felt fractionally more involving. The brakes were responsive and while the steering still felt like I was riding on air, I compensated by knowing the track better after four laps with the R8. The Evo X felt the most floaty. This is supposed to be one of the best handling cars out there, but I did not feel that while playing Forza, maybe I was expecting too much. This game is still a day 1 buy for me but it's unrealistic for me to fall in love with the demo. I like the prospects, though, of the full version game.

That is what the newIdrive looks like, and its in my 2009 328xi touring.

Its a prefrence. If im in a race and i crash, id rather not, as it would feel cheap to me, and if its there id be tempted to use it.scottiescott238

the one big negative for me is the cockpit view. The windscreen looks like it does not have any windows!!!

if you played need for speed shift. it had windows. you see light glare on the windows which gives that existance look. this is my only complaint. everything looks good and plays good

Does any else remember the FM2 demo compared to what was released? It felt like 2 different games to me. I am dl'ing this tonight.

Loved how you changed the topic title but I will repeat my self... I am getting this game but Im rather dissapointed and the graphics were severly overhyped and are tremendeously mediocre for a racing game even PGR4 looks better.Too_tight_shoes

Anybody claiming these graphics are rubbish is telling lies straight up. Great demo, hopefully great game.

Cars felt too grippy at first but I have been playing shift all week so maybe that's why.

I love it. The demo reassured me that my pre-order was a good decision.

I do wish there was a different track in the demo though. The one that's available has been shown in damn near ever screenshot and video.

Amazing game. Looks and plays great. People who criticize it have never played Forza.
