According to Turn 10, Polyphony Digital handed them the torch :|Well that's another reason I am glad I will be playing GT, it's just a more diverse experience regarding racing not painting and demolition derbying.
[QUOTE="funked_up"]LOL another flop for the xRROD 360 :lol:Doolz2024:roll: Try to come up with something legitimate if you're going to say F3 will flop. Since F1 and 2 did not have any of these things yet still got 9.2's, why would F3 suddenly fail because it didn't have them?

First how many races are done at night? Second you don't have races on a stormy day. The only part is cool is rally but I bet Dirt 2 is better overall than the rally part in GT5. One thing GT5 lacks is car rollover something Forza 3 has.
You really don't watch a lot of racing do you?, i've watched loads of races with rain/storms and i've also watched lots of races in the evening and night (again with rain/storms).[QUOTE="PS3_3DO"]car rollover is something to write home about? give me a break!First how many races are done at night? ZOMG, and you are telling me weather/night racing is a big deal, rally I could see would make a difference.

You must not have seen a lot of races because rollovers happen.
[QUOTE="masiisam"][QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"] Forza 1 scored higher because of online, i'm not going to even enter that debate. Adrian_Cloud
Wait...GT4 did not have online?
I am confused then... because Poly confirmed and talked about that major feature 6 months before the release of GT4? And they scrapped it?..What a disappointment...... but here we are again with just a concept trailer and ZERO word from Poly about the feature set.....But everything in the trailer is stone cold fact.....Hummm.......interesting.
Keep the faith alive...
You can only rely on what developers tell you, if that weren't the case then anyone could come up with their own conclusions about a game until it is released. which is ignorance. Gran Turismo 5 is Five Years in development, i think its safe to say that what they have promised they will deliver.Well when has Poly confirmed the... what.. where.. and when will be in GT5? You don't believe it's just as ignorant to assume what's going to be in the game by using some conflicting interviews.. a developers history of delays/miss quotes....a concept video... and a host of PR BS the length of an arm?
Why would you say "I think its safe to say that what they have promised they will deliver"?.....When their history shows different? GT4 online is an example..What about the "massive" fall update to incorporate damage into GT5p? What about the "we will continue work on GT5 and once that is complete. ....We will concentrate our efforts on the PSP GT"..
That has no effect on your confidence they will deliver?

GT5 has car damage. How about you watch the E3 09 video ;)
omg they should delay forza 3 for 6 years to add this like gt5 adman66
Sure why not. I mean many hyped MGS4 as never getting a 10/10 on here and many sites, fanboys (especially lems) called Killzone "Flopzone 2", inFAMOUS a flop, R2 a flop, and LBP a flop. I'd rather wait so I can have the better game ;)

Well here's the thing: GT5 isn't coming out before F3. F3 has a RELEASE DATE. GT5 still doesn't have one. No need to worry about F3 losing points in reviews due to the lack of these things, because it appears as though it'll be the only true racing sim on the market anyway... even gt5p has better physics than forza3No rally is a given. FM is not for rally racing--what MS needs to do is release a new Rallisport Challenge.http://www.gamezine.co.uk/news/game-types/driving-and-racing/forza-3-no-weather-night-racing-or-rally-$1310204.htm
W..t..h?! :| They better add it!
AdoringFan_
Weather probably complicates the physics, so I can see that as a likelihood.
And the night racing probably goes to lighting--car headlights and track lighting--again, complicating the physics.
I'm putting these three in order of likelihood of being fixed: least to most.

Why should MS release a rally game when Dirt and Dirt 2 are and will be the best?

I bought it to see if the graphics are good and it's cheaper now. So the graphics are pretty good and the driving is very good but like I said there is no damage. Like people have said it's only a demo.
Meh, not a big deal. Adrian_CloudWeather and night racing is a pretty big deal. That's like one of the vital points for racing to me. I get pretty bored of playing in clear daylight - rainy night courses would spice things up.

You know, to say that prologue sucked, you would have had to actually played it.
Wow. See, this is why you don't RUSH a game. Even PGR3-4 had night time racing, even GT2 has night racing! Weather is difficult to implement in these types of games, but PGR4 had weather! Good thing about rushed games, you get it sooner. The bad thing is some things you wanted will not be in the game.

I see no damage in the video.Cool. When is GT5 coming out again? Oh that's right... we still don't know. Forza 3 comes out in October. And those are merely superficial aspects of the whole game (none "necessary" for a proper road racing game). Forza 3 will still provide a better, more accurate road-racing experience... and do it way sooner.
EDIT: Oh yes, and if you want rally, get a proper rally simulator like DiRT 2 (which is also coming out this fall). Its better to have a racing game concentrate on one type of racing and do it superbly instead of try and do them all and end up doing none of them well.
Also, the game comes with 2 DVDs, that's almost 20 gigs. You would think the developer could implement the features they wanted with that huge amount of space.
Meh, not a big deal. Also pretty old news. They really aren't trying to compete with GT5, i hope people realize this.Adrian_CloudR u serious? Turn 10 has pointed to PD and GT5 in particular over and over. If ANYONE believes there's a competition between the two games, it is Turn 10.

wait, changing discs in a racing game...r u serious. cause if that's true...that's just a fail on ALL lemmings parts. If I ever see that confirmed, I'm gonna throw the "blu-ray is not needed" arguement in their faces so fast.

No it comes with two disk but you install the second one on the HDD, it is like DLC they came no where to filling the second one.

It's confirmed. You swap after lap 2 on all tracks. . . . . . . . . . . No disk swapping. The second disk is all EXTRA content.[QUOTE="dream431ca"]

GT2 for the Playstation came with 2 disks. Disk one was for the "Arcade" and disk two was the GT mode.

The second disc has extra content like tracks, vehicles etc which you install on your HDD.
So there won't be any disc swapping.

The whole thread is about Forza's developers saying they won't be in the game. But I suppose you know best...
