And I thought people said it would be called Forza Kinect Edition...I thought that idea fizzled out when people realised how craptastic it would be.
I've had Forza 4 in my line-ups thread for a while, since someone showed me some PR from Turn 10 saying the next "full Forza experience" or something along those lines would be out in 2011.
How many of a series in 1 gen? Talk about expansion packs.

What about Uncharted, Gears, Resistance, Halo? Again, nice try. Plus when was a game every 2 years the same as a game every year?
I'm not defending any of them. And CoD has 2 developers, they each produce a game every 2 years. However, if I had it my way it would be a 4 year developement cycle for both of them. But Activision wouldn't do that,

You could say it was all but announced. This would be the official announcement and everything before now was really speculation. All Forza 4 needs to do is keep everything from Forza 3, improve that, and then add. They need to take what works in GT5 and add it. They need to learn from GT5 and Forza 3's mistakes and fix them.Someone showed me this PR news post a while back which said:
"The next full Forza Motorsport experience, which utilizes some of the ideas presented in this demo, will ship in 2011."
So I took it as official.
And I agree, each of the series should be taking what works from the other and improving it, while adding their own innovations; learning from mistakes as well. That's how genres move forward. Hopefully people can see past all the FM vs GT to realise that.
Not trying to be overly harsh here, I'm sure it will be a great - likely AAA - game. But of all the potential announcements Microsoft could have made, this was easily the most predictable. I don't think it will restore people's faith in MS's 2011 lineup.

Don't make me post the FM3 Bugatti video. You can't bash a limited feature if the game your supporting doesn't have the feature at all.
Post what you like. It doesn't change the fact 800 cars in gt5 behave like bumper cars and mechanical damage is only available for premium cars online.
