The game scores a 9.5 and the best you can come up with is a single minor glitch. Really says something.

For the most realistic damages and crashing, Dirt 2 is the king and probably will be for some time. That takes nothing away from GT5 or FM3... it just isn't their specialty.

Indeed. Search Youtube and you'll see a bunch of screwed up things that have happened in every single GT title. FM bashers pick little screens or vids of minor glitches and funny things that happen, then run with it. It's their only defense against AAAE god sim gaming.

This is true. I like how in DiRT 2 inertia appears to be a factor. You'll get cars starting to roll slow and then they'll start going all bananas as physics happen. My record number of rolls is 9 or some such. Was totally crazy and made me realize how stupid it is that you can't save replays.

You know what is honestly going to happen? Both GT5 and FM3 will be so close in quality, it won't really matter. GT5 will have a slight upper hand in racing physics (control-wise), graphics, and maybe options, and FM3 will probably have slightly better crash physics, maybe better online community and be more noob friendly. It just amazes me how people get on SW and claim ownage for one side or the other. This TC cow is a joke, but many Lems are just as bad.

LMAO you are so correct. no way, you can roll a car, and just take right off again. someone should let turn 10 know, IRL a car should be pretty much crushed after a roll over. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o_ffEHUQ_0

How did you come to this conclusion?

Historically GT has had poor physics compared to Forza.

If Prolouge is any indication, this will continue.

Noob friendly? Forza is more noob friendly 'cause of it's assists, however unlike GT, you don't just need to plow into the side of the wall,a nd ride it around the track at 120 mph.

GT5 Prologue had BRILLIANT physics, and so did GT4 (except for the damage)... and just about every reviewer on the planet said so. I wasn't saying noob friendly in a bad way, and GT5 won't allow you to plow into the side of a wall either. Has it occurred to you that there hasn't been a GT game released since the first Forza? So all this "GT can't match Forza" is a joke since it hasn't even tried yet. I'm basically saying the games will be pretty level in terms of quality.

I haven't seen a single fan of the game say the crashes = real life, so obviously you are either making that up, or using the fakeboys as proof because you can't handle that F3 is the best racing game.

Good lord this has got to stop. Look: Forza 3 is a great game and Forza is a great series. It has glitches and issues just like every other game. GT is also a great series; GT5Prologue showed off some fantastic control/physics, graphics and much improved AI, so I have to imagine GT5 will also be great. And it will probably ALSO have some glitches. What the hell is the issue here?

This is system wars, taking a middle ground is boring, unless that middle ground is agreeing that both are the worst two games ever made.

In terms of game control, I don't see how F3 is better than GT5 Prologue... I have both as well. In terms of overall game, of course Forza is better... it's a full game, and GTPrologue didn't have damage. Forza 1's physics were a little off to me. Game Informer also complained that the handling wasn't conveyed well. F2 was a huge jump in terms of accurate handling, and F3 is awesome. I am not bashing Forza, but in terms of most realistic handling, I don't see any game that beats Prologue at this point.

GT4 has great physics, but not better then Forza 1. Look at the IGN comparison, and you'll see.

GT has great physics overall, just not as indepth as Forza

Also, i have both prolouge and Forza 3, and it can;t hold a candle to forza. Obviously the game will be better on release, but how much better?

We'll have to wait and see.

The cars just handle more realisticly imo. No console sim has yet to come close.

Im sure GT5 will though. At the very least it will come close.

I think it will almost too close to tell. My biggest beef with both of these games, and with the racing genre overall, is where is the truly great AI? I think Prologue and F3 do a pretty good job on this, but after playing FPS games and others with such brilliant AI, why hasn't the Sim genre moved forward that much in this department?

Bashing FM3 again, eh? What is this, your 10th or so thread?

FM3 = AAAE. Good luck to the competition, as they'll need it. 2 A's in a row.

LMAO coparing GT5 to a PSP gran turismo and proluge? First it was GTA DLC should count as AAAE and now this? lemmings desperate much

Forza fans are right, FM3 is clearly the only Sim this Gen that has the most realistic crash ever. Sorry GT fans, but there is no denying, this video proves how real FM3 really is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iDTXYA_9nQ&feature=player_embedded

Ahem....

9.5 9.5 9.5 9.5 9.5 9.5......

The sooner you get over it, the sooner we can all just move on.

lol, the score doesnt bother me. its forza fans saying crash in FM3 = RL. sorry but i dont remember cars being able to stand on it front bumper after a huge roll over.

If you want real crashes so badly why don't you actually take a supra (i think thats what it is) and drive it at like 150mph crash and tell us if it's realistic or not

The game scores a 9.5 and the best you can come up with is a single minor glitch. Really says something.Skittles_McGee

They expected the game to flop because "Forza just can't compare to GT" according to GT fans. The damage control is all they have left :)

Really? Trying to constitute a glitch as ownage? Please try harder as a rare instance proves absolutely nothing about a game's quality.

And said glitch looks like it was in a very early build of the game too. :|

That video is still pretty funny…..I mean what….. it's been posted about 30 times now…..Way to go TC on the new find..

It's sad when bashers have such limited material they have to use the same old clip over and over and over again...

TC, you know that this is just a glitch and doesn't in any way represent the quality of FM3's physics, right?

Who cares about crash physics in a racing simulator ? :| This isn't burnout :x

The only physics I care about in racing sims is the way cars handle and it's done superbly in Forza 3 :)

why even fight? Neither FM3 not GT5 is close to being "the most realistic sim this gen" anyway
