Forza getting roasted by fans and influencers for winning at TGA. The Crew Motorfest was robbed of the awards

Forza Motorsport released this year been crowned as best racing game of the year and racing fans livid how it gotten the award as this year Forza is one of the worst racing games released and certainly one of the worst Forza Motorsport game ever. Jury dont play the games they voted for? Xbox can't make a good game? Pretty much.

WOW seven years in the making, and its this bad? I was told three years ago that straight to gamepass games aren't downgraded, but when you look at Halo Infinite, Redfall, Starfield and now Forza that is being destroyed by its fans, you know something is wrong, dead wrong. I knew it all along, and was met with scepticism. Maybe next time you better listen to me, i am the expert, not you.

Problem is, there’s just too many games on Xbox. If this was released as a Sony first party game on ps5, it would be guaranteed to be the second best selling 1st party game on ps5. That’s how poor a year ps5 has had.

Think about that. The best racing game of 2023 can’t get airtime on GP because there’s so much content.

I have no idea what other games were candidates but Forza was a huge disappointment.

I haven't played it. I said multiple times in multiple threads that I wasn't buying it until next year due to MS price rise BS. The game is $129 here digitally and $109 physically, and I said MS can **** off with those prices, so I can't judge the game one way or another.

It doesn't change the fact that you're using "Influencers" as a basis for your thread, that is embarrassing.

Do I think FM should get game of the year? I don’t think most AAA games deserve goty. It’s not just FM that is unfinished.

Being a Forza fan since the original Xbox release, I gotta say this latest effort just isn't good enough. Not on a technical level, not from a design point of view, and certainly not on content. They need to do better. This game shouldn't even be mentioned in any game of the year conversations, let alone win anything. Shameful.

I don't play racing games that often so take this with a grain of salt I guess, but I couldn't stand Forza Motorsport. I think it was the handholding introduction that completely bypasses any sort of main menu and just dumps you into this cinematic bullshit and drip-feeds you the game elements.

You want to walk me through some tutorials, fine, but at least do me the basic consideration of introducing yourself. Say "Hello, my name is game _. Here is my menu. There are options here. Would you like to do a tutorial? Start off with a campaign? Perhaps a basic game?" Don't just start the game. I mean FFS it wasn't even set to my monitor's resolution when I started it up, it just...dumped me into a race.

Anyway, 0/10. I am concerned. Blah blah blah. Death to our corporate overlords and all that MS and Sony and Nintendo are all garbage yadda yadda yadda play indie games.

@dabear: those guys literally some of the biggest sim racing youtubers and some gone pro racing like Jimmy Broadbent and Steve Brown. They all play Forza and so many other games not only Sony focused titles. Only Steve aka SuperGT focuses on Gran Turismo but his most famous videos was on Forza.

@Chutebox: most common is the bugs and glitches where tracks dont load, falling down to oblivion from map, cars dont spawn, many cars imported from the old forza game and multiplayer penalty favouring the aggressors. Go to r/Forza subreddit for more discussion on this people actually that disappointed over this game they recommending GT7 over it.

I believe this year the game award's experts and reviewers were high on cocaine or ICE. They ignored quality games and celebrated overhyped junk games.

The ultra boring BG3 didn't deserve the accolades. Even GameSpot's top 10 list defied all logic celebrating buggy games like CyberBugs.

And Forza winning the best sports game validates my point that GOTY and other awards were a charade. I won't be following the hype train again next year.
