Imo GT5P is better looking that Forza2 & even PGR4... though both these 2 look and play great...
We'll also have to judge GT5 when the final game is out since we havent seent the rest of the tracks & all cars...

True we should wait for the final game. But i'm not yet convinced the background on GT5 is better than Forza. Car mods mabye but when using the in car view there is no damage also no dirt on the windscreen. That should be sorted.
The in-car view alone blows away all other driving sims. Bread_or_Decide
the in car view does not look as good as pgr's.
dont get me wrong though i LOVE the game, i use the bumper cam which is much better anyway

Can you do a side by side pic comparison?

Sorry fella at work and have no time. Have a look at screen shots on gamespot though for comparison.

Now thats just a straight up lie. Thats not even an opinion. Its clear fanboism.
ok the in car view may look sharper on GT5p, but in PRG it actualy looks like their glass in the window, the way the light shows dirt and smears, the way the drivers head moves about. it just looks like a cardboard cut out of the interior stuck to the screen in GT5p

Not entirely, I would say GT is more consistant with all of it's in-cars. There are in-car models are that are as good as GT's, and then there are some that little attention went towards. It's just inconsistant. and he;s right though, in PGR the way the dirt, light, rain reacts in unison on the windshield is effing impressive. A hazy day with dirt makes the windshield all muck'd looking.
On that note would people stop doing this stupid *** comparision. I don't mind gameplay comparisions, but GT's graphics are league ahead of Forza, that's just how it is. Forza isn't ugly like many make it out to be, but gameplay clearly took the front seat.

Well said! My sig is clapping for you. :D
No, that is not the case.
I have Forza 2 and I love it, and I play it all the time, but it's nowhere near GT5: P in terms of visuals.

Yes PGR 4 does have those effects, while GT 5 PROLOGUE (need i add) doesn't.
And yes the rain and snow effects on the windows do look nice, but they are only repeated animations. Its the same animation replayed every wipe.
Also GT 5 Prologue's interiors are not only sharper, they are far more detailed and for more polygons put into them.
All that with with realistic driving physics, 16 cars on track, while running at 60 FPS (though not all the time, but its not the REAL GT 5).
I can assure you GT 5 will have all that and more. I know i sound like i'm making a profit, but I haven't been wrong with a lot of my predictions. Besides what else is PD going to do this next year and a half?

I'm sorry but it's not a better driving sim not even close when or if it gets damage then we can talk about sim!![QUOTE="Rikusaki"]What do you want more better gfx GT5P or better game FZ2!! gfx are cool and all but when did it make it a better game? Here is a video that shoes how detailed the car models are in GT5.

I like Gran Turismo's Gameplay way more than Forza's. In Forza the cars feel like they are floating. In GT5, the cars feel like the are gripping to the ground.

Wow. You didn't even read my post. PGR 4 is NOT a simulator.
forza is completely ruined by jaggies. they really take me out of the gameplay.. there should not be very appearent jaggies round the cars.
so that's something GT5 does right... great car models.. for the rest.. same game... maybe driving in forza2 feels far more convincing.. in prologue there are still things that take you out of the believable driving experience.. tire sounds, physics that aren't yet right (jumping.. wel, landing.. and damage)..

Forza and Forza 2 feel quite different from eachother, at least for me they did, you should try playing Forza 2 before passing judgment on its gameplay.

Well there's a problem right there.
But anyway, both Forza games do an excellent job of simulating a car's weight and grip levels. To put it simply, my Dodge Charger SRT 8 feels a lot heavier on the track than my Lotus Elise, creating a marked difference in handling between the two.
Lol - in car details. What GT have done, once again is miss the bigger picture......but on purpose. Why bother focus on the improtant things like gameplay? At the end of the day if they feature alot of shiney cars, people will buy it.
At first I thought GT was stupid for not putting age old GT issues to rest and then it finally sunk in......they don't need to.
How many thousands and thousands of threads are started about graphics on this forum???
and then people wonder why GT have never fixed the gameplay. Its not an error - its targetted marking

Thats why so many people by the game. To drive the cars. The racing is all that important to many, which is a bit sad, since thats why its so boring, but it looks likes Kaz Yamauchi has gotten the picture and will change is direction for "perfectly clean" to more of "believable".
BUt we will have to see in the REAL game how much it changes. GT 5 P already has noticable amount of changes from the last games.
BUT serious Always-Honest... How the hell can they NOT get the tire screeching to be more life like? ITs just a damn sound effect. They need to change it. Its rediculous. lol
Have had a xbox pretty much since launch and last night bought a ps3 mainly for movies now blu ray has won. Got the best of both worlds yey me! (smug git) Any way racing the Datona track on both consoles Forza has better graphics (i think) And if i've got one bone to pick with PS3 it's the controlier: no vibration, rubbish ergonomics and over a 10 year old design sort it out!.duncancameron23
Lol, you do realise that the xbox 360 controller was redesigned around the dual shock's defacto controller design.

What? The 360's controller was designed around the Original Xbox's S controller.

The only real change from the controller-S is the removal of the white and black buttons, replaced by the bumpers. Other than that, the two controllers have practically nothing in common.
The sales will be equal to the poll results
graphics = sales
R I P gameplay :(

First if you want to talk gameplay start your own thread this is about graphics, secondly I'm having a lot of fun with GT5 Prologue which is why we buy games. So in my opinion GT5 has great "gameplay."
