Turn 10 has said that they didn't have enough time to implement shifting animations.
I recently had a chance to play Forza, DJ Hero, and Tony Hawk Ride. While I surpisingly had the most fun with DJ Hero, Forza was very smooth, and only improved on the last one.

It felt like... Forza =\ Not a bad thing, but the demo didn't really do much for me, spent most of the time crashing on purpose, rewinding crashing again lol. I'm honestly not sure if I'll be getting this anymore, not because I think it sucks, I just don't know if I'll put in the play time to justify the price of admission. Nothing really wowed me.

its always stupid judging games just by demos as seems to be happening with F3, in the same way i find it completely stupid to bash GT5 for which we havent seen much and thecouple ofgameplay vids shown so farlooked promising imo...
Forza3 has so much to offer and i'll surely download the demo once i'm back home (after work)...

Yeah that is the one. lots of turns and climbs. The graphics for the track are outstanding. Yeah it'sa fun track.
Just got done with the demo.... graphics are nice.... no aliasing that I could see.... the interiors are even nicely detailed, unlike the pics we saw a few days ago..... the cars, in the demo, handle really well.

My impressions after a quick run through with the R8 V10, California and the Evo X (hard mode) is that this game is, nice. The graphics aren't breathtaking but they are a vast improvement over Forza 2. The gameplay does seem to be a tad detached, that is a positive and negative. On the positive side, it is easy to correct and telegraph your moves and the sense of speed is definitly here (especially with the Cali). A negative is that the steering doesn't feel presise. By that I meen that even at low speeds the thumbstick to wheel to wheel feedback seems to take some time to register. I felt this especially with the Evo X. I did have some fun with rewind trying to excersise the perfect drift with the Evo X around that first big 180 turn (unsuccessful). By far my favorite car I tried was the California, the brakes are the most responsive of the three cars I drove. I did notice how fast the ZR1 was and more suprisingly, the Ceyanne. Overall, the game didn't sell me like I thought the demo would, I thought my gripes were trivial, but I'm finding out they do hold some water.
