Xbox One:

1. 50% bigger in size than the PS4
2. A power brick
3. Non removable hard drive
4. Chunky controller that takes AA batteries (offical charge kit $24.99).
5. Mandatory kinect
6. Voice commands (part of the Kinect experiance) available only in English, French and German languages when released.
7. Network games hidden behind a paywall (Xbox Live games, $60 per year)
8. Some basic features hidden behind a pay wall (IPTV, DVR, free to play, network apps, $60 per year)
9. 50% slower than a PS4
10. 25% more expensive than a PS4
11. Only ~6 Million available until 2015

PS4:

1. No HDMI input
2. Controller lacks trigger vibrations
3. Camera not bundled with the console
4. Unsure of what voice command languages will be available at launch.
5. No true controller free console interaction bundled or not.
6. Network games hidden behind a paywall (PSN+ games, $50 per year)
7. More than likely not all games will have dedicated servers other than first party exclusives.
8. Only =>10 million available until 2015 (this may be an issue)

Any other points people want to add? obviously not all of these are important issues for everyone, but this is all I can think of not counting games and apps.

8. Some basic features hidden behind a pay wall (IPTV, DVR, free to play, network apps, $60 per year) That is the only valid downside you listed for the XBox One.

Xbox One: -More expensive -Slightly less powerful than PS4 -Microsoft's first party is not as good as Sony's first party Playstation 4: -No launch games worth buying -The light bar on the controller cannot be turned off (since I like playing games in the dark, this is going to annoy me) -Xbox Live is better than Sony's online network and continues to innovate while Sony is always playing catch-up in this area

How are the other things not a downside, or possible annoyance?

How would you justify each?

High entry cost, limited libraries, unproven hardware, must be attatched to your wallet to fully function.getyeryayasout

They're launch systems... :|

Correct. Qualifies as unproven.

So just to be clear you would never buy tech when it debuts? Gotta take a leap sometimes lol

It's often good to wait to see what the bugs are in the initial launch units, software or hardware related
