What Killzone 2 would look like if it was made on UE3 and featured Terminators. Only short demo is available but I like it because of it's obscurity - it just screams KILLZONE.:P

I'll try and download it tomorrow.. It looks like it might be pretty good O___o
The camera shaking is rediculous
If it plays/appears like the flash-forwards in the first movies did, I'm in.
haha not even close man.Downloading now. :D Almost looks as good graphically as Killzone 2.

That looks great for freeware :o and  at all the KZ fanboys on that youtube comments section, so funny seeing Sony fan boys complaining when one of their games has idea's pinched from it (irony is lost on them it seems).
haha not even close man. For a free game it looks at least 85% as good.Downloading now. :D Almost looks as good graphically as Killzone 2.

For a freeware tech demo, it looks suprisingly close.

No, its not close. Not even in the same league.

haha not even close man. Final release:
Apparently pre alpha, even though I don't see any "Pre Alpha Code" watermark.

So, because the animations, the fail attempt at getting the glare effect, along with the overall "intentional gritty" look one can't say it looks like a terrible version of KZ2? Because it does.
.....Why would I play Alien Swarm (A TOP DON SHOOTER) in FPS mode? JangoWuzHere
I want to try that sometime. Seem like it would be hard. It looks weird though because there is no sky/ceiling. Looks cool though when slow mo happens and your little video feed shows an over the shoulder view of you blasting things.

I've already told you last time, the lens on the gun for the final version has a green color filter, ur screenshot doesn't, so it's not the final product. Is not difficult to understand.
Well that just takes the biscuit as the worst rip off game ever. Why even do that? oh hi my names Mr lame and I have a partner called Mrs unoriginal and we are going to adopt a girl called Miss greyscale and then we are going to "create" a baby in the exact image of Miss grayscale and call it Master dissapointment.
Well...to be honest Killzone rips from Terminator movies pretty heavily anyway, so it's kind of like Godfather videogame ripping from Mafia game which ripped from Godfather movie :D Altough it's worse in this case.
Still, it reminds me how insanely ahead of it's time Terminator: Future Shock, propably the most revolutionary post-Doom FPS of 90s and yet it was revolution hardly anyone noticed, such a shame
Yeah its pretty bad. Terminators are almost impossible to kill too. Its still pretty neat thoughWow, unoptimized. 720p I was getting 15 - 20fps.

That one was a masterpiece.
It's extremely buggy, unoptimised and just isn't fun at the moment. You can soak up bullets standing in one area while you die instantly if you move slightly to the left. Hopefully this stays under development and turns into a nice indie game.

I agree. It would be nice if they put on the paint before the polish.

Yup it is surprisingly close. Too bad even a "Terminator" game looks even better than any 360 game graphically...

i think the kz rip off came based off the atmosphere. watched the youtube vid but quality was crap so i downloaded the demo and tried it myself. doesnt look close to killzone 2 IMO.Has anyone thought about maybe that they are trying to be faithfull to how the war was shown in the movies?
As far as i know The Terminator came before Killzone.
This isnt even the game, more like a proof of concept demo which was done by 3 people (2 of which are focused on sound/music).
Okay I'd agree about Mafia and Godfather, but Killzone rips off the terminator movies? Is that a joke, because i can't think of anything and if I did I bet it wouldn't be enough to say it rips off of it pretty heavily.Well...to be honest Killzone rips from Terminator movies pretty heavily anyway, so it's kind of like Godfather videogame ripping from Mafia game which ripped from Godfather movie :D Altough it's worse in this case.

Terminator was the movie that popularized the whole "gritty near future war with colorized setting". Every near future setting that tries to do a "war movie like" realism is taking most of it's stuff from Terminator
Killzone is very clearly inspired by it. The whole look of depresing industrial battlefield, with everything drowned in one primary color, the weapons designs, the ships, even the way the human soldiers look and behave. The Terminator inspirations are pretty obvious.
Of course Killzone enchanced that with Jinroh influenced elements, but the core is still visible there.
To be honest the only visual elemtn in this Terminator mod that wasn't in the movies are all the weapon animations

I'm sorry, but INSPIRED is the right term you should use...not rip off. Rip off is something like MGS taking a general storyline idea from a movie. Weapons designs? Is that even right to say Terminator inspired the weapon designs? It's not like those aren't real weapons...and only two designs I can think of is the shotgun and minigun, but like I said inspired would of been the better word to use at the beginning but thanks for saying that it's clearly inspired.

actually not close at all, apart from the sky and gun model everything looks beyond average.Well, it's clearly inspired and rips the whole atmosfere, that's all I've meant :) However, I wonder, if you're so adamant about using the term "rip-off" to eagerly, why didn't you also protest this thread's title ? :)I'm sorry, but INSPIRED is the right term you should use...not rip off. I'd like to see anyone else that doesn't have years of experience with developing and programming do the samehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h1WVyDNGnQ
