Franchise best fitted for a Movie

What gaming franchise or universe would you most like to see a movie made out of? (Didn't have enough slots so i combined some games by developers or game style) I also would of added some more but limited space... So you can post what you franchise you think would best for a movie.

Half life out of those.

I think Uncharted would fit very well with a movie.

I though hitman was decent. Max Payne was were they strayed way away from the game

A properly done STALKER movie would be amazing.

In before "Heavy Rain". Seriously, though, I would have to say Splinter Cell is pretty well-suited for a movie, in particular the latest one. Maybe even too much...

out of all that you have mentioned Metal Gear Solid is the best Franchise to be fitted for a Movie.

Think about it.

Metal Gear Solid: The Movie would consits of the end of Metal Gear 2, setting up for the movie where Snake fights Metal Gear kills Grey Fox and Big Boss and leaves to go to retirement. Then the Movie starts off Metal Gear Solid like it was in the Game.

then Metal Gear Solid 2 The Movie would be the entire MGS 2 game.

and the MGS 3 The Movie would be MGS3

and MGS 4 would MGS4.

and in between they can make an animated direct to DVD/Bluray Movie of Metal Gear.

Any of those would make a great movie TBH as long they're true to their namesakes.

Starcraft obviously. Tommy Lee Jones for Arcturus Mengsk, Tricia Helfer as Sarah Kerrigan, Bruce Willis for Jim Raynor, what's not to love?

I'd say Mass Effect but it is not as linear as those other ones, another choice would be easier, so Mass Effect would definetly be the hardest choice, but also the best.

Metal Gear Solid would make a terrible movie. And if you think it will, then you're probably one of those ppl that liked Advent Children.

A Mass Effect flick, with Bioware at the helm in terms of story and WETA for visuals, would be incredible.

Halo has already proven that it has the potential to be great film-material with the popular shorts released on the internet (all made by a then-unknown Neil Blomkamp, no less).

Heavy Rain.....it is 95% QTE's movie and only 5%game.

MGS4 & HR have already been made as a movie so.... :P j/k a lil bit

I must go with Mass Effect and from the looks of things, it's gonna happen. :D

Probably Uncharted, though I atribute that to basically being a more modern Indiana jones.

Worst on the list would be HL. Simply because the main character only works in a first person mode. He doesn't talk, have a personality, anything. So unless they can do a movie in first person....I don't think it would work.

That's what would make it best fitted for a movie. Wouldn't mean it'd be a good movie, but hollywood eats up generic scifi movies.

Didn't the loop hole that allowed for his investors to make money after he (intentionally) made a movie that bombed close? Maybe he's realizing if he wants to still have a job he has to make half decent movies now instead of intentionally horrible ones.

Not really sure DA would work, but Mass Effect is perfect for a movie, hell feels a bit like one already. MGS is basically a movie already, Halo I don;t think would work (urgh can u imagine someone like Stallone playing it with no helmet ala Judge Dredd). Starcraft is doable but lets face it would end as a mess.blue_hazy_basic

Out of those, well depending on the direction most would make good movies. Metal Gear Solid could do it but you'd lose a lot of the style and convolution that it has. ... :shock:

Halo could make for an excellent movie. I feel like Mass Effect wouldn't get the time it needed to make it a fantastic movie, like it would need more than 2 and a half hours. Half-Life could do but fans would be upset if they made Gordon Freeman chatty (see The Legend of Zelda,) but of course you don't need Gordon Freeman to make a Half-Life movie.

Escape from City 17

Bioshock would make for a fantastic movie I think. The game sets the stage for a great action-horror film; get Guillermo del Toro to direct that with his visual approach and it could be awesome.

Assassin's Creed could also make for a good movie but maybe not one that would be my first pick.

All of those games would make amazing movies (if done correctly of course). But I think Half-Life would be the best out of all of them.
