atleast it gears 2:P
I loved that trailer, so much I made it my sig.
It emotional man, pure emotional, lol. Seriously, when that tank that Marcus and Dom are in finally hits the ground, and Marcus feels the bump and looks up at Dom, putting on his brave face... man. It doesnt get anymore epic.
I cant wait for this game. I think it could give MGS4 a run for it's money in terms of epicness, lol.

I agree, except for the MGS4 epicness, never will it be surpassed.

Anyway, I liked this trailer, but it's like a Gamestop exclusive trailer isnt it? I cant wait for this game!!! I cant say it enough..

Epic as MGS4. Never :P. But the trailer you are talking about is not even a cutscene in the game. Hopefully the actual cutscenes will be as cool.

Epic and thier pretentioiusness irks me to death :|.
Old, but still very cool. They still have no commercial that shows gameplay... WTF?

Yup for a game where the developers called MGS4 a passive gaming experience (in a negative way) because of the cut-scenes. They have been really been pushing this game with their passive videos :P

And it looks like they have been inspired to put more emotion and emphasis on cutscenes and story telling this time around. But they are trying kind of too hard to push it down our throats.
Just let it happen Epic... It will work itself out like all great things do. And if it's great as they hope, we will respond when we play it.

I dont think they've been pushing it down our throats. I thought the Last Day trailer was really well done and had alot of emotion that all too many games forget to convey... the personal hardships of war.
We'll see how the game turns out, but I'm not counting on this game being as "emo" and deep as the Last Day trailer was. Considering how haunting "Mad World" was but how testosterone and brainless Gears of War was... I dont think Epic will be forcing too much emphasis on emotion for Gears 2.

I agree that it won't be too much emotion (I certainly hope not).
But with the 7 dev diaries (not all of them) and these trailers I've gotten the vibe of pretentiousness.
That trailer feels very... Killzone.... which isin't in a bad way.insanejedi
Are you implying CGI? lol.

I agree totally. It has that KZ1 vibe of self preservation and fight against an oppressor. That's one reason why I love KZ's plot.
Hopefully Gears 2 can pull off that same feeling of pressure and desperation (something they did not have time to emphasize in Gears 1).

They aren't putting out TV commercials for SW enthusiasts like you. They are doing it for the 3 million other people that will watch it and go out and buy it because they've seen it.

Thanks for the obvious :). I was just putting in my 2 cent, just like we always do in SW.
