From cow to hermit

I quite frankly never thought it'd come to this.

After watching Lost Planet, Crysis and FEAR on a FHD Bravia 42" in staggering jaw-dropping 1080P at insane 55(!!!) fps, I decided it's time to shift. X2 260GTX simply points and laughs at any Cell+RSX+Xenos\n out there. It would take even the biggest of all fanboys not to be overwhelmed by such sight. The amount of detail on screen and crystal clear motion transmissions are practically an orgasma to the eye. Everything blends in so perfectly you just cant not be seriously impressed. I've been a very loyal PS3 fan, I pretty much like everything Sony has to offer but this is just so much more. Besides, I'm a dedicated FPS player and especially RTS. So since Starcraft2 wont be coming to Consoles and EA cancelled Red Alert 3 on PS3, it's time to act accordingly. I already have my first 260gtx on it's way and hopefully by the end of this month I shall have myself a nice Q9680 dual SLI 4gb 1ghz ddr3 beast.

You can have a look at my previous posts here. I was a true Sony fan up till now. I mean, not that I dont like PS3 anymore, I'm still waiting with anticipation to KZ2, Motorstorm 2 and Tekken 6. But my biggest love is for RTS. Since nither consoles can put up a fight in this department, it's time for a change.

I dont feel the need to defend myself, you're entitled to your own opinion.

I think if everyone had the money to do so.... everyone would have a super powerful PC that could run Crysis at 60 FPS or higher... but we don't live in a perfect world and considering that fact... I buy consoles for my gaming needs because I can't afford to pay for a poweful PC. Though... if I did have the money, I would so be a Hermit if I could.Solidus_Mute

eBay is the key my friend.

I dont know where you're from but where I live the parts are 50% more expensive. So when I first assembled my future PC on paper I thought to myself "NO FREAKIN WAY!". But now, Even with 50$ for shipping the price I'm getting on eBay is lower by 50% than what I can get where I live.

I might correct you that the videos of crysis you see me running on my big Bravia was shifting beyond 60fps on the highest settings, Having said that, the developers themselves have addmited that they payed no attention to settings below Very High. Luckely they have for Crysis Warhead, which apparently runs on High settings using a machine that cost no more than £300 lol, can't wait.

Yea PC Gaming is amazing, most people ignore it and don't actually acknowledge it's awesomeness until they see it in person.Brainkiller05

Well, no reason why the cow in you can't get along with the hermit, is there? There's still plenty of PS3 exclusives on the way over the next 8 years and you got yourself a portable Blu-Ray player too. (I know that PCs can have Blu-Ray installed for as little as $150, but it just doesn't seem as practical unless it's in a laptop)
