I honestly don't think GTA4 will be as good as GTA:SA it just doesn't look that good from the trailers. I wish they would have made it for one specific console, so they wouldn't have to cut corners to make it work on both.catlin_czirr

Also haters, San Andreas is currently the best GTA game technically, no matter how much you people hate the atmosphere.

Well it does look like ass. Probably pushing both systems well though..... although I'm sure it would be much better technically as a PS3 exclusive. And no that's not a fanboy statement the standard HDD and large disc space would allow for much better streaming in an open game like GTA. Probably better geometry too.

they had to make it slightly more awesome so snooty 360 gamers would pick it up.

i think san andreas is the best. it brought alot more new things to the series than vice city did. but alot of people dont like it cause of the hood/gangsta theme which i think they pulled off quite well.Silenthps

Yeah seriously, Vice City was basically GTAIII with better lighting, a different atmoshere, bikes, and the ability to use aircraft.

San Andreas actually had improved gameplay and technology. The aiming system was alot better, the camera controls were improved, you could now pull up on ledges, there were no load screens during gameplay, YOU COULD ACTUALLY SWIM, not only that you could submerge etc.

Some closed minded people just don't want to give San Andreas it's credit because of the gangsta/hood thing. The game is much more than that..

Meh, it lacked the mobster feel and replaced it with the "gangsta" crap or w/e.

Still doesn't make it a bad game. And is still currently the best GTA.

But alot of people are obviously gonna pick a pretty bright 80's themed game in miami over a wannabe compton despite the fact that artistically, both atmospheres were pulled off excellently.

I see. Though I did love driving through the deserts and forest like areas.

Also I agree, I loved VC's theme. But I also loved SA's. Either way though, I won't let a theme, atmosphere, style or w/e we can call it ruin the gameplay for me. Gameplay is what it's all about.

I hate country, but if there was a country themed GTA I'd still enjoy it if the game was put together well.

i get the feeling some of you cats just didnt like the fact that the main charachter was black. there is gang stuff in every gta. closet racists.tikki25x

I agree. If you didn't like the theme of the game, that's fine. But don't knock the gameplay because it was by far the best of all the series.
