It's barely noticeable and RT mode is basically a slugfest on ps5 as RT forces you to run Quality mode. So unless you have a beefy GPU that can run this on PC(there's no dlss either) it's pretty much a non upgrade across the board

Yeah this is a studio that can't even support resolutions past 720p, without even taking a gander I'm confident the ray tracing will amaze all of mankind.

@kvallyx: It absolutely does not. Looks like a gorgeous PS5 game with best-in-class, award winning art style.

Not as good as graphics kings like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok, but still looks great technically.

Artistically it is pretty much unmatched, as reflected by the VGA.

Nah, it's pretty standard fare. I would agree though, inline with HFW and GOW. But they still are not as good as games like Forza Horizon 5, Flight Simulator 2020 or Gears 5 Hivebusters, A Plague Tale: Requim or the new COD.

Did they even fix the stuttering on the PC version yet? I am all for some RT, but the dev's priorities are definitely off if the stuttering has not been addressed.

@kvallyx: FH5 (2021), FS2020 (2020) and Gears 5 (2019) didn't even win the best graphics in their respective years. HFW literally won best graphics 2022.

So, it pre-compiles shaders? I have never played the game, but the stutters were bad from what I saw and I have not heard about them fixing it...

Not sure, most of the issues at launch were in early Limgrave like with the Tree Sentinel fight and the Ahgeel fight that would turn the game randomly into a slide show. Those issues are alleviated, only hiccups I've experienced in my last playthrough and a seamless co-op run with my wife was a hiccup entering Caelid that was barley noticeable. Results may vary I guess but there are people doing no hit runs on PC and that simply wouldn't be possible with a game stuttering all the time. Just watch a Twitch stream or something and you'll see how it performs, or buy it and refund if the game runs like shit for you.

@fedor: Watching a stream of someone playing would not help much unless I am watching from a fresh install. Otherwise, they would have already cached many of the shaders that would have caused early stutters.

You can find a lot of Vods from fresh playthroughs like this one above on Youtube. Trying yourself would obviously be ideal.

Seems OK for the most part, but there are some traversal stutters. Also, unacceptable optimization like at 2:02:22. I can't handle shit like that.

I have no intention of playing the game any time soon as I still have to play DS3 and Sekiro, but was just curious if it is safe to play at this point.

The studio need to have lessons from King Microsoft on how to do graphics. Look at Flight Simulator and Hellblade 2 and Forza Horizon and Halo Infinite.

I really think Tim Sweeney should just fly up to Japan and show them UE5.

I respect studios wanting to use their own engine and Fromsoftware has incredible artists. But their games look a generation behind from a technical standpoint.
