How is this game not amazing? I know what CE I will be pre-ordering soon. Discuss and show off other LBP2 videos, I hear there is one of a FPS.

Agreed. Creating levels and what not is fun, but I don't find it very fun playing a level I made. I think I might rent this at best.pretty cool stuff but it really doesnt look much fun when it comes to actually playing it.

I'm sure it was fun to create but that doesn't change the floaty jumping and the shovelware gameplay. I'd rather play any other fighting game in existence. Even Rise of the Robots.nethernovaYou can customize jump mechanics now.
yep same hereIt's cool that you can do that... but I would never want to play it. Looks awful.

This will be another LBP--- user created levels that are more show and tell galleries than actual games
I don't see why people don't always show levels like these:

The last one has 2 amazingsequals, much better than the original but you get the point.
Edit: And this.
So another genre that LBP can't make a good game with?
I'm just not seeing the point in being able to make other genres when they can't be done well. I've been trying to watch all the "Insert Genre Here" LBP videos that you guys post on System Wars, and none yet have actually looked good :(
My only problem with LBP is that as awesome as all the creativity is, you pretty much end up with simple/shallow versions of other games? Not intending to bash the game now, just don't think its gameplay matches its creativity and Stephen Fry-ness!locopathoThat's exactly what I was thinking. Might as well pop in a decent fighter rather than jump around throwing punches with a sackboy.
All this tells me is you should stop worrying about how it "looks" and try out how it "plays." Video games aren't meant for watching, they are meant for playing. So another genre that LBP can't make a good game with?

After you have put time into your own level, and then go onto play other peoples levels instead of being so focused on how the game plays you instead go through the level with respect to the creator, trying to figure out how they did certain things. Participating in the "create" part of the game changes the way you play it.
