Funny kid on train with Halo 3

I was sitting on the train today opposite this kid with his dad, with a copy of Halo 3. He would have been about 10 or something and he was all giddy reading through the game manual. So they get up to get off the train and his dad asks him "Have you got eveything?". Without even turning around to check the kid says, "We've got Halo 3, that's all that matters. Halo 3 is all that matters to me right now."

Heh, god help us.

And yet here you are talking about some kid on a train that you don't know who was only excited because he had a new game.

Oh and before anybody starts, my comment about burning copies of Halo was not an anti Halo statement, i love Halo, it was a joke and a reference to what happened to the band 'The Beatles' after John Lennon said that 'The Beatles are more popular than Jesus' everybody went out and burned Beatles albums.

I really shouldn't have to explain a pop culture reference like that, but on gamespots forums you never know when some 14 year old Halo fanboy is going to get upset.

Little things like that? The other day there was a british army advert featuring some guy in charge of recon, and controls a UAV in the form of a plane (by controling it, it isn't a UAV, but thats what he does in the advert). Thats fine to me, but when the camera focuses on his hands and shows a 360 controller for 7 seconds I was quite pissed with the BS they were trying to show people. Sort of off topic, but if that wasnt targeted at kids I'll be damned.

okay Jack Thompson, if you are serious, don't make it look like you didn't have a violent game when you were young. (I don't know maybe you didn't :P) but I had the original Half-Life at the age of 12 or something so I can't blame the kid.

How can I say this without sounding cruel and insensitive. Ok..here it goes. I don't want anyone w/ today's current gen video games shooting up any school or (anyone for that matter) :D... Because everytime there is going to be a shooting anywhere, cops are going to go looking for a video game system in the murderer(s)'s house to use to as a motive. "It can't be a personal hatred, bad upbringing, or anything else..it's those damn video games!!"
