The thing is that it doesn't mean a thing. Oblivion and GeOW don't automatically become better than any new 9.5 rated game. BillGreen68
I just said that it was a funny thought.

Are you reffering to ME and Halo 3? I wouldnt count of either getting above 9.0.Meu2k7
No, he is talking about Oblivion, 9.6, and Gears of War, also a 9.6. Because Gamespot now used the .5 system, unless a game gets a 10 it will not beat those two.

No, Oblivion and Gears of War both received a score of 9.6. The only way to beat that score under this new rating system is to get a perfect 10. Oblivion on PS3 was only able to get a 9.5.
That's true now that I think about it. We still compare games that were rated under the old rating system to games that were rated under the new rating system after all. Fanboys will still claim ownage due to a game scoring 0.1 more points than another game which is simply impossible under the new rating system.
Conclusion: You cannot compare games rated under the old rating system to games rated under the new rating system.

Oh right, but then again, a 9.5 game on the new system could very well be higher.
And score differences like that dont matter, Oblivion PC was 9.4 , but was un-argueably the best version.
