BC is a major decision point for me. I didn't pay all that money last gen so I could not play my games on the new console. BC is becoming standard, like a wireless controller or rumble. You wouldn't buy a controller where the rumble only worked half the time.

nice try the future ps3 may have its EE removed so no hardware BC but it will still have software BC tradeoff: less games compatible, but the ones that are will be upscaled.

I got two xbox games for my 360 but even though they were "compatible" they had tones of freezing problems. Pretty much only Halo 1/2 works well.
