So for next gen, we have:

PS4, Xbox 720, Wii U and the OnLive MicroConsole

After that...

PS5, Xbox 1080, Wii Thwii, OnLive

PS6, Xbox 1440, Wii Sqwii, OnLive

PS7, Xbox 1600, Wii Fwii, OnLive

Is the Onlive box really called a console? Isn't it just a plastic shell with a simple PCB inside?

What? From what I've seen onlive is blurry, low resolution, and pretty much a slide-show... in other words the typical console experience.

Next playstation and xbox are going to have lame casual names. Sad but true. And they wll have a gimmick control since those seem to sell well even though products (games) seem to not be important these days.

I think next gen we will have the Wii U and the Playstation 4. The Microsoft name is in the air. I'm guessing they incorporate Kinect but will want to keep the Xbox brand. It will probably be something like Xbox Active.

Can't wait to see OnLive bought out by the big three.

I think OnLive will die.

In a few years, smart phones will be powerful enough, so by connecting a controller and a TV to them you get a console experience. It just doesn't make sense to stream gigabytes of information when all devices around you will be very powerful (smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc.).

Nothing wrong with "PS4". Are you here to play games or criticize how cool a name is like some sort of child :|

Maybe x_XxXGODXxX_xstation would work for you guys.
