L4D will be GOTY book it.

Can we put a little bit more effort into threads these days?  L4D will be very good, but probably not GOTY.  The grammar police are hunting you, by the way...

I personally hate how last year Bioshock won, i finished it and it was great, but its not THAT good,

i dont know how ppl will vote for MGS4 which the game 80% of the game have you wacthing than playing.PSP107

This year it will be difficult, but Im sure the winner will deserve it. I cant see how the winner will be a exclusive, but it seems like the main games that are up for it "are". Non exclusive game......GTA4 has to get it by default.

Left 4 Dead certainly seems like it will have a good chance of being GOTY material.

Otherwise... I dunno. Its pretty uncertain. 

I don't think Left 4 Dead will be GOTY material. Probably Shooter of the year and Multiplayer GOTY.

I'd say it's between LBP, MGS4, and GTA 4.

Diablo III, StarCraft II, Resident Evil 5 and Mafia II should have a chance. Personally, I'm hoping for Mafia II.Litchie

I know right. lol. I just watched a bunch of gameplay on gametrailers.....my one word to describe what the gameplay seemed like? INSANE. One of my friends said " Sheesh, it doesnt look like they give you a chance to breath or think." I dont see it.

I have the mGS4 bundle and yes i'm a vet in the series as MGS1 was the 1st 1 player game that took off for me. Part 1 and 2 had more gamplay variety than 3 and 4.

3 and 4 felt more like make ur from point A to point B. And Part 4 was really optional. If you want i can break down each ACT to prove my case

yeah left 4 dead isn't your ordinary zombie game it is faced paced.

Not to mention you can't just run around blindly. You have to be strategic. Its not run-n-gun. Even when you're being swarmed, if you shoot blindly you're likely to injure and even kill your teammates. And trust me, losing even one teammate makes the game so much harder (especially on Expert mode).

Left 4 Dead doesn't need to be GOTY to be a successful game. I would love to see it happen, but there are many contenders out there. Just wait for the Gamespot Review, then start the hype by all means, I'll join you :D

Hey, I own the game too. I agree about the gameplay variety. For me, Act 1 was the best. But, 80% percent of the game is not watching it. I'd say 70 to 30. That's not much better, but hey they had to put that story in there somewhere.
