Its like he wants to be trendy by always bashing on one console, first it was the Ps3 now Sony has shown him the error of his ways, its 360 and xbox live. Either commit to one console or work with them both, either way he looks like a douche like when sony paraded him at E3 like there prize winning pig.

I think that from Gabe's opinions: 360 has good hardware but lame online because he can't update his games with new free contents due to MS contract regarding how DLC in XBL should be. PS3 has lame hardware because it's too difficult and tiring to code games for, but PSN is more open and allow Valve to constantly update their games with steamwork on PSN. He also admitted that it was his fault to think that MS would allow Valve to update their games despite the contract. He believe that MS would change their mind. Sadly, he was wrong. Valve's will to offer DLCs without cost alone can't win against all other companies that want money from their DLCs. And thanks to the establishment of XBL and DLC, now we have to pay for petty updates that used to be free. :( DLC works wonderfully and makes more money to develoeprs. But it's bad to us gamers because the size of most DLCs are petty. They start to charge from everything that should've come with the retail games already. Sometimes I feel the urge not to support developers and publishers because of how DLCs work. I miss the expansion pack from the old days. Now, buy used games from GAMESTOP to spite developers and teach them a lesson!

Lol, yearly CODs are a bit much but having multiple great Halo and Mario games in the decade or more it'll take to wait for HL3 isn't a nad thing...

If anything he should be talking more. He's one of the few industry leaders that puts his money where his mouth is. a few years ago he was talking at GDC about how online retailers were screwing up by not implementing pricing fluctuations on their inventory. The result? The weekend Steam sale, which is now being copied industry wide in various ways.

At least it's not some nonsense on how they are pushing "fill in percentage amount here" of console x's power to make their new game.
