Game Informer completely BASHES the PSP GO...

PSP NO!

A reader writes in asking, "why in the world did sony make the PSP Go?" going on to point out the miriad of things that make the unit pointless, "$50 more can get you a PS3" "Cant transfer UMD" etc.

Game Informer Responds...

Sony probably believed there was some untapped demographic that would be interested in the redesigned handheld, but we can't imagine the kind of gamer for whom the PSP Go is a worthwhile prduct. With download only titles (sporting no compatibility with the previously unreleased UMD games) the system isn't for serious gamers. With a high price point, it isn't for new psp adopters. For music and movies, it can't compete with Ipod. All we could come up with was this: If you have a surplus of money and a deficit of common sense, the PSP Go is for you!!

I agree with them. If I were to buy a PSP, I would get a 3000 instead.

Believe it or not, the thing is priced so stupidly in the UK you can actually get a PS3 slim for the SAME price. :?Doctor-McNinja

I must be the only person who likes the pspgo, I got killzone, GT, Ratchat & clank, Motorstorm and Resistance free and I love having my PSone games on it.

Funny thing is that a UMD'less psp was what people asked for.

i agree with GI, PSP GO sucks, it worse and costs more then PSP 3000 + PSP 3000 is more smexy

Can't disagree there.

The PSP Go is one of the single biggest mistakes Sony has ever made in the gaming arena. I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy a PSP Go over a PSP-3000 and a high capacity memory stick (which will end up cheaper than the PSP Go if you know where to shop).
