Game Informer pool , even ps3 owner rate xblive the best

In a recent opinion poll, 74.7% of the PlayStation 3 owners surveyed considered Xbox Live to be the online service with the best feature set when compared to PlayStation Network and WiiConnect24. In addition, 71.4% of the people that actually own an Xbox 360 feel as though Xbox Live is worth the subscription fee.

Possibly even more intriguing is the fact that of the people that owned all three consoles, meaning they had the option of playing multiplatform games online for free, 63% still found Xbox Live to be worth the price. Another statistic that I found particularly interesting is that an in-game XMB is the feature most wanted on PSN, even more so than Home, Trophies, and further PSP integration.

The survey was conducted by Game Informer and printed in their August 2008 issue.

thats not really surprising at all, its just common knowledge that xbox live has more features then psn, including subscription fee, thats a premium feature right there :P

It's still better, I have yet to be able to listen to my own music while playing, I have yet to recieve a Trophy, and lastly in game private chat isn't an enabled feature yet.

to be honest, I don't care how many feature they have, and I can accept $49 for 13 monthes , if sony can improve the current psn demo download speed and poor online gaming connecting.wiiwillwiiwill

There is nothing wrong with it's online gaming connection, that's actually something PSN does better then XBL.

I own a PS3 and I can safely say Live is much better tahn PSN. But I do so little online gaming (mostly COD4) that it doesn't make a difference the extra feautres for the equivalent of an extra game a year.

Windows Live is free.

i have the magazine in question, and the OP totally made up the first figure because its not even in the article. your second is fact that is because they surveyed 360 owners. this article was also written before 2.4 firmware was available. If I was Sony, I would just wait till PSN is equal or better to XBL, also wait for sales to pass the 360, then boom! charge for online, what are Sony fans going to do? buy a 360? nope, Sony fans are way too loyal to jump ship. I can't imagine sony just letting MS make money on XBL, but Sony sit there with their thumbs up their ***.

unless of course, they make a lot of profit on HOME, which I'm sure is the plan.

I'll admit, I hope Sony does charge someday, I just want to see how the Forum blows up with Sony fans either losing their minds, or coming up with excuses why its ok to pay, MS fans will smell blood in the water and I would love to see how they either act civilized or go on a full attack of Sony fans.

There's no denying and it's common knowledge that Xbox LIVE is the best, but the PSN is good enough just not better.
