Cooool, good reading. I want to know how this game plays. Not bothered by score TBH, we all knew it was going to score high, I'm more interested in how it plays.
But seriously, that 18-30 hours and their comment about it not being grand has me a little worried. It will still be a great game no doubt, but thats one thing I didnt expect it to be knocked about.

I think they rushed it because bioware said up to 70-80 including side quests, main quest and exploring. They couldn't be that wrong.

it was a rumor bout 2 weeks ago....then people started gettin the magizine and found it it was true...joystiq is pretty late sometimes with it news stories

I think they rushed it because bioware said up to 70-80 including side quests, main quest and exploring. They couldn't be that wrong.
Yeah I remember them saying it was about 50+ hours long, including all quests.
Halo3 and BioShock aside, I think this is the 360's biggest shot of GOTY. I simply cannot wait to sink my teeth into Mass Effect, even though I have about 20-odd games I still havent finished..
GS will probably count off a bit more for the shooting issues that GI mentions. This could turn into a surprise here at GS. Maybe another Bioshock, where it doesn't flop, but gets a 9.0, possibly decreasing stands in GOTY running?

Most of the lemmings would have to run to the hills, especially if Super Mario Galaxy gets AAA a week before. In other words? Chaos.

I woudn't be surprised if it was still recognized as superb here. That's what happens to many flops, as long as they're not Lair.
