Tri-ace hasn't been worth their salt for awhile now, no one should be surprised. Resonance of Fate was fucking boring. Star Ocean 3 and 4 were trash. Present Day Square are even bigger frauds. Borderline Inafune tier.

You take GS word on traditional JRPG seriously?

They always shoot for the lowest end negative perspective when rating traditional JRPGs. It's basically an excuse for them to throw out low scores because they feel no one will hold them accountable and to appear more critical.

What you'll notice is the GS's score isn't close to being represented as the general opinion. These guys have always been like that, their opinion is basically worthless for these type of games since they aren't reviewing them as fans, they just look for things they can nitpick and throw out a low score.

Not surprise. The game looked like mess.

What's "weird" about them? They've been around for a long time, and we have recently seen a resurgence with some great titles. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #Fe just scored an 8 here the other day. Nintendo, Sony, Sega, Atlus, Capcom, From Software, Square Enix, Namco, Vanillaware and Platinum have put out some very good games.

Do you understand what I wrote? A lot of these western web sites don't review traditional JRPGs as fans so their reviews are not only overly harsh they aren't good references for a "fan" of these games to use when making a purchase.

I visited meta BTW and I read that review, it is a lot better than the GS review with more detail and has a different perspective agree with it or not.

The game is criticized for certain things and I have noted those issues across reviews however most have also stated it has fantastic gameplay which GS seemed to give little to no credit over their over weighted opinion of not liking the story/characters.

GS: "Great gamplay but I don't like the story/characters. 5/10"

I bought The Witcher 3...played for about 2 or 3 hrs then uninstalled!

I wish I would have waited to play "this sort of trash" that has great gameplay instead of just playing trash that was just a complete waste.
