Game of the Decade 2000 - 2009

What do you guys and girls honestly deserves such a prestigious award. Im not going to write up 100 nomies but what do you think? This game doesn't have to be the best selling game or the game you put the most hours into. Its the game that you thought "wow, just wow" and you could not stop thinking about.

Im going to have to go with Metroid Prime for the gamecube. Never have I played a game that brought me into the game more that prime. Ahh I still remember the awesomeness of it.

Theres a nice pick of the best menu system lol I can still hear the music!

Mgs3,Shadow of the Colossus or Deus EX.More toward MGS

Surprise surprise, I am going with Vagrant Story on this one. Edging out a ton of other games but this one was something special (not that the others weren't)

These are my top 5 of the decade. It really is tough to pick one. Even five is tough to pick.

Oh wow... Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Half-Life 2 would be two obvious choices for me I suppose. Still really hard to decide, I've got tons of others I'd like to say but let's keep it at those two :P.

EDIT: Not naming anything from this gen, can't really judge if any current-gen games will have as much staying power yet.

I haven't played enough of the decades' top titles to say for sure. Also, are we talking quality alone or also cultural impact? If you consider both, then the defining title of this decade has been Halo: Combat Evolved, so it gets my vote.

I'd give World of Warcraft a close second.

World of Warcraft....its done more than any other game this decade. I don't even like the game and I will admit that much.

Why? Aside from SNES, PS1 is easily my favourite system of all time. Anyway, Vagrants Story (as my sig indicates) is simply amazing. I wish more games went for recreating its style, I'd love to see it on stronger hardware. Also my favourite game from the PS1/N64/Saturn era.
