i know and he seems to forget that gear got a 9.6 in 2006 and a 9.0 in 2007 and gears was horribly flawed in many many places. so imagine a gears without those flaws, and better graphics, and many more features, more content, emotional story... yes i know it would be an asplosion of awesomeness. this is all speculation though :)

It cant be GeOW2, it just wont happen based on many reasons.

If LBP is due this year then it's between LBP, MGS4, and GTA4.

there are many reasons which you should know already

the most prominent being that the only other noteworthy game to come out that year which even had a chance of winning was twilight princess.

other awards gears 1 got from gamespot include : best characters in a new game, best multiplayer, best shooter, best techincal graphics...

in other words there wasn't another contender, it won by default.

everyone knows 8.5 is the score gears deserves and that is what the PC version got. when the 360 version came out, it was really the first next gen game to make you go WOW. and all gamers got up into that feeling and mistook it for the game actually being good. not to say that it isn't a good game, it's just not as good as gamespot says it is.

Hopefully when giving out the award they'll take replay value into account. If they do,it won't be going to MGS4.

wow. i'm surprised to see they have a review that is good. i didn't agree at all with their MGS4 review, but this review is great.

I have a feeling that it is going to be Metal Gear Solid 4. But I heard that sequels don't get Game Of The Year that often, or perhaps, never at all.

Whatever it is, the nominees that will probably get in are Gears Of War 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Spore.

Spore or STALKER Clear Sky. Speaking of Clear Sky is comes this month!

I'm so excited and nervous about the game at the same time.
