Well the fact that a majority of PC gamers pirate games. Ex. DICE said they lost roughly 2 million do to pirating of BF3
Every platform has their own elitist.
How many times have I heard PS3 and 360 gamers downplay the Wii because it is much much weaker?? A TON!!!
The only difference is that the Wii doesn't downgrade games because most games aren't multiplatform coded for 360/PS3 and Wii. On the other hand, PC's which are much much much much more powerful than PS3/360, share the same multiplatform code.
The difference is PS3 and 360 owners may criticize with a heap of bias but they don't talk to Wii fans like dogs**t under their shoes.Every platform has their own elitist.

Are you speaking of this forum, or multiple? The author of the article did not specify System Wars.
[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"]The difference is PS3 and 360 owners may criticize with a heap of bias but they don't talk to Wii fans like dogs**t under their shoes. If all or most multiplatform games were developed as Wii-lead and all gameplay elements of the game had to work on Wii, I'm pretty sure we would see tons of 360/PS3 gamers crying out..."Crappy Wii Port" or Wii-izied game.Every platform has their own elitist.

We already see some PS3 gamers complain about developers not using the PS3's hardware more and using the 360 as lead. But since the difference between the two is like 5%, we don't see it as often. But it happens.
Another crap article written by somebody who has no idea what he's talking about. A 1400$ ASUS laptop can run Battlefield 3 on ultra, not "hum like a broken car engine every time he boot up WoW orLeague of Legends". It also obvious the author never was a PC gamer. The arms race started in 90s and back then it was far worse than it is now. Nowadays the race actually came to a half, when a modern PC can easil last you 3-4 years. Ten years ago it used to be 1-2 tops.
Also..Gears of War costed 10 mlns to made, that's how much Witcher 2 and Anno 1701 costed and that's less than half of what Crysis 1's budget was and yet both Crysis, Anno and Witcher 2 made profit being PC exclusive. He's assuming that if a game would be PC exclusive it would still only as sell much as it did being multiplat released a year after console version.
Fact is simple, PC gamingi s growing and it's getting more and more exclusives. Every big company is investing in it and often even publishers that were console-centric before are now investing into PC exclusives or at the very least they're making excellent ports of their console titles.
To sum up, shoddily written article without any research, made just to ggenerate some additional hits for the site.

Many pirate, but it's tough to accurately portray that the "majority" pirate. If you wish to, then proceed.
Even 25% is a huge number :|[QUOTE="lundy86_4"][QUOTE="PSN-SCRODE"]

Even 25% is a huge number :|Well...majority of console gamers don't pay publishers for the games they play either, AFAIR Epic complained that only 1/3 of people who played Gears on Xbox 360 paid them. Every platform has it's own share of problems.
I stopped at the part about how much it costs to maintain a high end PC but in essence I agree with the sentiment to an extent. There's a revolting attitude of elitist discrimination amongst the fanboys that benefits nobody. I wouldn't say they're ruining the industry necessarily though because this attitude has been around since I was a kid at least, its just not very nice for anyone.tomarlynYeah, like elitism is worse than the CoD fanboys that get milked every year... When elitism actually has an effect on games, let us know. We'll let you know when the popularity of CoD has affected games...oh wait, it already has.

Touche'Thats unfair. Theres alot of PC gamers that are just absolutly great and all. It just seems this GS forums is plagued with elitists.
I was googling something today and this article popped up: http://www.gameplayer.com.au/pc-gamers-are-ruining-the-games-industry-for-themselves/ As a PC gamer I was like WTF? Seems like a pretty d!ck thing to say. But I read through and the guy has some valid points, although its an obvious console fan boy. I was interested to see what other people thought, is he right in anyway? Or just being a sensationalistic douche to get page views?Jojojrshabadoo

They lost money because you can buy the Russian version for $30.........
That's massive over here in australia considering new games go for $100.
