Does anyone here have a certain game they play that never seems to get old. For me, it would be Yoshi's Island. Even today, I'll go through my closet, drag out my SNES, and beat that game over and over again because it never seems old or archaic even. What about you?

I'm the type that can't look back. Playing old games makes me realize how far we have come in gameplay and technology.

Games age badly for me. If its a great game I play it until I get sick of it then its pretty much used up. I was never big on re-watching great movies either. All the old "classic" collections that have been coming out for the past 10 years have been of little or no interest to me. The VC games on the Wii hold little appeal as well until they start releasing games I never got a chance to play. Just because a game is old doesn't mean I won't appreciate it though.

Zelda A Link to the Past and Halo.

I could still play Halo CE on a LAN (with 7 or so other people) and still have fun playing it for hours on end.

def super mario bros 2, or Metal Gear Solid is up there. Halo was like that for like 3 years but im finally sick of it and halo 2. andd the original mario party is still the S*** to me.

- Counter Strike. Started in 2000, still playing now more than ever.
- Diablo 2. Played it from 2003 - 2006. Although I'm not playing anymore, I see myself starting agian in the future (ask any D2 player if they came back at least once, they'll say yes)

Pharaoh

The gameplay, the sound, the replay value... it's one of the best PC games.

And even compared to games today, it's incredibly detailed.

The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3, ALttP...pretty much any 2D game from the past is still good to me. Its when you get into the 3D graphics of old that things start to get...ew...but out of those old games I could probably jump back into Crash Bandicoot, OoT and MM, and Tomb Raider to name a few.

Turn and Burn: No Fly Zone on the SNES. I'm sure I'm the only one that actually played that game, much less feel this way, but I love that game. Timeless flight sim combat. I love it.

Super Mario Bros 3 Super Mario World (barely makes the list) Super Punch-Out! Donkey Kong Country Mario 64 Halo Jet Set Radio/Future To be honest, it's much more difficult for a newer game to make the list for me because I don't know how it will fair over the coming years.
