Game types for Xbox 360 and the PS3

I'm getting really really frustrated! This damn next-gen war has me going a bit nuts! I've been doing a lot of research on the Xbox 360 and the PS3... and I really don't know anymore...

At the start I was so sure I was gonna buy the PS3. The hardware was said to be more powerful than the Xbox 360, so I was immediately thinking that that was a big advantage.

But now, I guess I'm being a bit more particular about the games!

Both systems look good, and now I just really wanna know what types of games both systems have.

Will both systems have RPGs, shooters, etc etc..? Which system will have more types? WHich will have more exclusives?

Coz I really wanna be able to play GeOW, Halo3, Half-Life ep2 on the 360... But I also wanna play MGS4, GTA4, and FFXIII!!!

Come on guys! A little help on the games... I can't afford both systems... yet... :P

Oh yeah... Info regarding issues, or problems of the consoles would be helpful too.. Thanks!!! :)

If we knew the future, we wouldn't have to come on system wars. We can't tell you who will have more games or what types, beyond the stereotype that ps3 will have japanese inspired rpg's, and xbox will specialize in shooters. The console that sells the most and is the cheapest to develop for over the next few years will have more games, and more variety. We just don't know who that will be.

As of this moment, its no contest that 360 has the most variety and the most quality. In the future, maybe not.

first the elite, now theres an xbox 460?

hl2 is multiplat...gta4 is multiplat...

its not an easy decesion, but post what genres you like the most

ps3 has no exclusive jrpg until 2008... but it has white knight story and the ff franchise

360 has blue dragon and lost odyssey in 2007

shooters... 360 clearly unless youd rather killzone and resistance

heres your only reasons to get a ps3 this year though: ninja gaiden: sigma, warhawk, heavenly sword, ratchet n clank, gt5, singstar, drakes, mgs4, tekken6, lair and home

not sure about 2007 360 exclusives but: forza2, halo3, mass effect, blue dragon, lost odyssey, fable2 etc
