Yeah, I bought one, but the Virtual Console as it stands it kind of whack. I'm really only interested in N64 titles at the moment. Some GBA games though would tempt me to open my wallet a little wider.
Yes it would be awesome, but look at the sales, GBA is neck and neck with the PS3. Its still selling very well for its age. So I dont think Nintendo is too keen on putting the GBA hardware in the grave before its time, and most importantly the DS is backwards compatible with GBA games so it just wont happen. Theres a better chance of GB or GBC games coming on the VC, but even thats a stretch since the GBA is backwards compatible with them.
I think they'd release something like the Wii version of the GBA Player for the cube before they would put GBA games on the VC. GBA is still alive (so to speak) , after all. Gameboy/Gameboy Colour, on the other hand...well, I wouldn't say no to a download of Oracle of Ages/Seasons.
It seems like quite a good idea, until you realise that a) the downloads will be expensive compared to the actual GBA cart, b) there is a GameBoy Player available for the GameCube, if you owned the console, and c) GBA games are also playable on a DS (or Lite), if you currently own one. Not to mention Nintendo's admittedly lacklustre turnout of just four random Virtual Console titles per week. It could take months, if not years before you finally get what you want. It's simply easier to buy the carts.
