Well reading the review itself, i think 8.5 is a just score, the single player really does look like a let down.

I think i might just rent this, not a buy.

hmmmmmmm thats pretty surprising to me. Its a good score but since Game Informer loved the first one, i wonder what the point reductions were for

I've been playing the first Resistance recently and I have to disagree with gameinformer on this one. While the first one does let you switch between weapons, this actually drags the game down a bit. I mean you have about 1 dozen weapons to choose from and it's insanely frustrating finding ammo for the one you want to use most of the time, meaning you are usually stuck using the same generic weapons like the Bullseye or the Rifle you being the game with. Or, you have weapons full of ammo just waiting to be used at the tough parts of the game which makes the game fairly unchallenging at this big moments. On top of that, with some of the weapons you can't tell if they are effective or not so you just end up ignoring them (ion burst anyone?). The worst part about the wheel is when you are playing multiplayer. Instead of just having a secondary weapon ready to go, you have to scroll through the weapons, sometimes during intense firefights that don't put themselves on hold while you figure out which weapon to use. After playing the Resistance 2 beta and playing Resistance 1 I have to say the Resistance 2 felt soooo much better.

First off when i buy something im tryiing to support devs and there art form, im not playing there sales. Im playing there creation, also if im such a cow, why dont we go play some fable 2 or on friday gears 2?

and sales and hype no way affect, how much fun the game is, a game is a game the only thing you do with it is put it in your system and enjoy it.

and lastely when i play scores and sales, will marcus and dom show me a some sort of pie chart on the screen?

I disagree with this, the review fails to see how the 2 gun system creates a stategy of what gun to pick up and what gun to throw in a situation. Plus situations often offers 2+ different guns so really need to choose. With the original resistance, I just used the gun that worked, there wasn't really a strategy for me.
