Gamer women make a video expressing their discontent with the gaming community.

By the way, yesterday I made a thread when I was really drunk, and I made some amazing points about things that I might never be able to replicate. But the moderators only allow videos that highlight gaming's positive effects here. If you guys have ever read 1984 by George Orwell it's kind of like that but with neckbeards in charge. Freeze peach is supposedly allowed... but only if they like it. Just saying incase anyone (most likely a cleanly shaved individual) is surprised if this topic gets locked.

I say gamer "women" and not "girls" because it's more repsectful. I know that's probably pretty disgusting to some of you, knowing that "girls" grow up and become more independent and emotionally stable, but I like to think of them as equal individuals, because they are.

PC gamers, listen up:

I think that's why Diablo III always online, seeing as it basically forces women to play with creepy guys. If I had a gaming PC, I would definitely play with them just so they wouldn't have to deal with you guys. Then again, I'm sure they're all gone before some fat neckbeard even has the opportunity tell them what he likes to do after he's accidently spilled mountain dew on his dorito-stained dick.

Anyway, try to look for ways to criticize this video instead of acknowledging that you're unnecessarily putting these female PEOPLE (emphasis on the PEOPLE) through hell.

I always find it quite funny how a lot of guys change in their way of behaving, in public, when a female gamer joins the chat/party/game/lobby/etc.

They either become sexist douchebags or they become hopeless beggers who act like they never seen a girl/woman in years and has finally encountered an opportunity to interact with one. The latter tends to be the guy that tries to treat the female like a queen or something.

I agree with the video, I dislike idiots who treat women differently when they hear their voice, read their gamertag, or look at their avatar. But gaming online is no game community, just a group of individuals who enjoy the same game but don't necessarily have the same views on life or values, and the world has a lot of assholes... in the video they say it themselves.

:cool: I don't treat girls differently online or harrass them. In fact, I have some gamer girls on my friends list and I enjoy playing games with them and I never bring up their gender because it just doesn't matter to me at all.

Would you prefer if I make a graphics thread (something that does not matter at all in the grand scheme of things and is constantly changing)? Or how about a thread about everyone's favorite games (biased lists that consist mainly of PC titles)? Or what about a topic on some upcoming AAA blockbuster hit that everyone will be tired of within the first week and simply wait for the next, seeing as gamers are not satisfied, because gaming isn't as fulfilling as they make it out to be? No... I want to post something on the Internet that actually matters.

Ah this topic again... Yes female gamers tend to get harassed by young boys who think they are cool. Well ok it dont happen as much (atleast not in the games that i have played as of late). But its also a self fulfilling prophecy. How do you know if its a boy or a girl behind the character? You dont... Unless they say that they are a woman. So why would they do that unless they want the attention? I dont go around yelling in chat "IM A GUY!!!!"

I know it happens in some voice related things also. But at the same time most people wont bother you... Just DONT reply to people that say these things.

I have nothing against girl gamers and I am indifferent to them but making a video highlighting your gender in an attempt to stop people highlighting your gender seems so redundant and counter productive. 

So getting judged online is something that happens exclusively to female gamers? You've got to be kidding me. I can't even begin to count how many times I've heard guys make fun of other guys for their voice, their avatar, their skills in game, the list goes on. Ok, so females might get more attention because of the "OMG, a girl plays videogames!" reaction which is bound to happen when a large portion of the audience consists of teenage boys under the cover of anonymity. But lets not pretend that this only happens to females.

Not very attractive people  are usually much better in bed that the attractive ones. It´s like very attractive people think that they don´t need to put much effort during the sex because of being attractive already.

Statistic shows ugly people are better in bed (for real) because ugly people have sex like it is their last time (my explanaition :P)

I never mentioned porn. What it has to do with my previous post ? I just saying, attractive people don´t necessarily have a lot of sex for being attractive. Physically unattractive people usually develop stronger actitude and will as a compensation for lack of beauty.

If girls didn't want special treatment they'd use regular gamer avatars, use non-gender specific nic names, and not use voice chat. But no, they do all three of those things and then whine about being treated differently. It's as bad as when they go to bars wearing tight, low-cut shirts and pretend to be offended when they catch you staring at their rack. Women are insufferable and only good for one thing, and it ain't gaming...

I'm well aware that they have to deal with alot of crap, but so do the rest of us and I can't say my female MMO compatriots did'nt tend to flirt.

Noone should have to deal with harassment when gaming, but I'm not so sure that that females experience more grief than we do, as much as they experience a different kind of grief.
