Gamers worldwide have high expectations for PS3 than any other console

I get it now, I get why PS3 is always bashed. Us as gamers expect PS3 to have a better games library, Us as gamers expect PS3 to have better online support, Us as gamers expect PS3 to do everything. The truth is we expect too much from the PS3 right NOW. No console has delivered on its promise right from the get-go and PS3 is no exception, sure it has great features but it still lacks the most important thing about a console. Quality games and lots of them. Its partly Sony's fault, they promised high and added a hefty price tag but unfortunately the promise was undelivered and the price is way too high.

In my opnion as it stands the PS3 is definitely a quality console and worth the price, Blue-rays cost way more stand-alone but you get it inside the PS3 like way cheap. Also the promises of PS3 being capable to do 120FPS and what-not was obviously a complete lie and anyone who believed them must really be gullible. If you haven't learnt your lesson when Sony claimed PS2 can render Toy story like graphics then you should learn it now otherwise your going to be fooled again into thinking that PS4 can take you to cyber space.

So all I have to say is that yes PS3 is going through hard times and its both our fault as it is Sony's. PS3 is a great console just like the PS1 & 2, nothing more nothing less.

true, that $600 price tag automatically makes us assume that PS3 is the king of console but unfortunately its not the truth. Games are what matters and as it stands PS3 doesn't have enough quality titles right now to warrant that $600 price tag.

Yeah, I know. But in the long run, if the PS3 doesn't fulfill it's promise of "The next PS2", prepare 
for lack of customer support next generation.

its our fault because we are expecting way too much from the PS3. We are not even giving it a chance while every console in existance was lacklustre at launch but got better as time progessed.

Also we believed (not me) Sony's false promises of PS3 being able to do 120FPS etc, please don't fall for Sony's lies with the PS4.

PS3 is a great console nothing more nothing less. By the end of the year PS3 will start getting awesome and thats when I will buy one

Sony didn't join the games industry to create a console which is not about games. PS1 played music but it was a games console. PS2 played music and dvd's but it was a games console and the same stands for PS3.

PS3 does have fantastic games like RFOM, RR6, Motorstorm, Oblivion etc. By the end of the year Sony's games library will grow substantially, I actually expect most of the sales towards PS3 to pick up tremendously in Autumn/Christmas time.

Yes, of course. It is the consumers' fault that they don't want a product with features that they aren't demanding at a pricepoint that is unrealistic. Maybe if you were over the age of 18 and were a part of the workforce, you would understand why the cheapest video game entertainment system is thriving during a time of rising costs, high inflation and economic decline or stagnation, depending on where you live.Gaming-Module

You got me all wrong buddy, I don't work for Sony I'm not forcng anyone to go out out there and buy a PS3, heck I don't even have one yet because its expensive at the moment with not enough quality titles to justify the price.

We bash Sony because we believed such stupid lies. PS3 just needs time just like every other console, expect things to pick up before the end of the year, most of PS3's sales for this year will happen then.

OH and Please for the love of god don't believe Sony if they say PS4 can send you into cyber space !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our expectations will always exceed the capabilities of any console and PS3 is no different. PS3 is another great console from Sony which just needs time. I trully hope that Sony can cut the price even if its little because this way they just might be able to sell far more.

Most of the quality titles for the PS3 are due this fall and I'm sure people willl then start to realise PS3 as a good console.
