Games Like Xenogears

I need a game from any generation, any system and any genre that is close or equal to Xenogears scale in terms of story and if possible, length.

The man that made Xenogears recently created a Wii exclusive RPG titled Xenoblade. It is only out in Japan at the moment, but you should definitely keep it on your radar, seeing as it has been received quite well. Here's a trailer so that you can get a bit more insight on what the game is like.

I havent played Gears (only Xenosaga) but based on what Haku.... says, its as big or better.

What i can say is get Xenosaga. Theres nothing like it on the market (likely never will be at this rate) and its an un-missable experience if thats what you want.

Well, obviously Xenosaga. It's sort of a 3 in one deal but the total game time of all 3 is probably still under Xenogears.

Xenosaga was Xenogears' "second chance" starting with the 1st story arc, "the cosmo war." Next was supposed to come Xenogears, and then the "terminal point of the universe," which is the one portion of the Xeno story that we never got to see.

Anyways, I'm not familiar with any JRPGs as ambitious as these games.

Try Xenoblade :P.

From what I've seen and heard, it's closer to FFXII than Xenogears.
