Games That Deserved Sequels, But Didn't Get Them..

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (Xbox Exclusive)

this hilarious, innovative game didn't sell enough to warrant a sequel. a real shame, because it featured a kick ass protagonist, engrossing story, huge, imaginative open-world, and some of the wackiest ammunition ever. an amazing Xbox exclusive that unfortunately isn't even respected enough to be backwards compatible with the X360.





Star Wars: Republic Commando (Xbox, PC)

this bad ass game featured awesome squad control with great graphics and addictive multiplayer. while not particularly long, it featured one hell of a thrill ride in it's campaign. it even had gore to boot. the game sold well enough to warrant a sequel, but unfortunately the series became a series of books...



Psi-Ops: The Mind Gate Conspiracy (Xbox, PS2, PC)

another amazing title that didn't sell well enough to garner a sequel. you play the role of a super soldier with awesome powers such as pyrokenisis, telekenisis, mind control, and another one i forgot where you can pop heads. the game show cased a great physics engine and a good story. luckily, the game has since become free-2-play and you can find it on filefront or fileplanet. (yes, legal.)

I,once again say,Shadow of Rome.

Co-sign on Oddworld. Psychonauts should be on that list, too.

Co-sign. I've always been surprised that a sequel was never made. Did it do poorly commercially? Can't think of any other reason why it never happened, I mean it did well critically and is generally loved by gamers.

I love Oddworld, although I've only played Abe's Odyssey and Munch's Odyssey. The Playstation version of Abe's Odyssey is playable to this day. Beautiful, fun....great stuff.Brownesque

A third Fear Effect title would be nice, Also a true Parasite Eve 3 (yes I know about the spin off title on the PSP), if Yasumi Matsuno was still at Square a second Vagrant Story would be sweet. Last but not least Shenmue 3.

Too true, so disappointed they weren't smart enough to capitalize on it with a sequel. Not to mention leaving us with a cliff-hanger in the form of a liberated NYC but not the rest of the Eastern Seaboard.

Damn I wished there could be another one.

I would also like another Heavenly Sword.

IDK about the second one being garbage. THe only problem I had with it was that they were lazy and didint add more new monsters. I recently beat both back to back for the second time and I love the games. I really would like to see some sort of reboot more then a 3rd part since part 2 felt like his story was over. Of course depending what end was cannon.

Yea it showed rockstar can still make a fun game with a good story and it not have cursing,mobs and hookers.

But to throw in my 2 cents-

A TRUE sequel to Red Faction was never made. I mean Red Faction, not that spinoff crap they made known as Red Faction 2, and the Guerilla demo was lame, you could only blow up buildings, and not even the bridge.

And I agree with what someone said about Mark of Kri, great game.

Psi Ops, this game was miles ahead of its time, and a sequel would be beautiful, if done right.

Painkiller, what in the HELL happens!? Pun fully intended.

I want a Japanese made Silent Hill, a new one for PS3, or multiplat (PC, PS3, XBOX360), atleast on the systems that can make the pretty, in this case, horribly disturbing, images and atmospheres. I don't want a PSP or DS one.

Yea, and you know they'd throw in a cover system and f it up. It doesn't need a cover system because you could grab anything and hold it in front of you. And SURF!!!!!

This game really was so far ahead of its time.
